Oh my... As is the way of the universe sometimes, I've caught the super spicey cooties and will have to cancel/reschedule our first IAS of 2025 😔
I'll set up a new event once I've recovered 🤧

A few pics from yesterday's headspace launch and the activities we worked on together, as a community 😊

We built a good foundations wall, which represented the many things people relate to having a healthy inner headspace.
It is made up of rainbow 'bricks' of personal feelings, actions and qualities that come from within us, whereas the grout/mortar will be filled with external supports such as community groups, professional services, and more.
The end result will be a beautiful, inspirational, and relatable display piece.

We also set up an affirmation station, where folks had the opportunity to write something nice on a little note, bling it with stickers or stamps and pop it in the tin to be handed out to those that came after them.
A few kind words from a stranger can have a really noticable positive effect on our mental wellbeing, as does the chance to be the one sharing the love.

I am so grateful to see this space for mental health support being made accessible to local youths, it really is life changing stuff.

I'll be at the headspace launch today running a community art project if anyone wants to come along! From 2pm-4pm, down the gardens end of Thompson st 😊

It's a good chance to check out their new digs, find out what it's all about, have a play and leave your imprint on the display piece we'll all be creating together ❤️🎨

Oooh, a nice fresh blank canvas, ready for new beginnings ~ Perfect for the launch day happening this Friday at the new Headspace in Hamilton!

It's such a joy to be a part of celebrating such an important mental health support service for our local youths.

I'd love to see you there, so come along on Friday arvo, say Hi, and add your own magic to our special art piece! 🎨 ✨️ ❤️

Creative doodlings!
Sometimes when we open the door to our creative flow and we feel that our first piece is finished, but there's more to come out, we let that flow out into follow up pieces.

I really love how our subconsious expresses itself when we invest in making space and time for it.
Sometimes it's related to the first creative piece of the session, but often it is it's own little piece of gold.
Like a little handwritten note that got lost amongst the hustle and bustle of life, but once that door opens it has a way to pop out and be seen, felt, and honoured.

The 'stories' that tie in to these doodles are really unique, beautiful and powerful, and it is always a humbling experience to hear them.

Let's take a little peek behind the scenes of our beautiful Intuitive Art Sessions 😍

Situated in the old Scout hall on Tyers St Hamilton, our space is open and well lit, with room to move, yet is still cozy and inviting.

The space is set up with multiple 'creation stations', where each participant is provided with a foundation of creative supplies, as well as paper for journalling/reflective note taking.
There are also informational handouts based on any educational aspects for the day ie; recognizing the body's stress response, zen and intuitive art, etc.

In the center we have our meditation space, with seats set up for those who are happy to sit, and extra floor space for those who wish to lie down.

Next to our meditation space we have my favourite spot, our alter table, where participants are invited to bring along any special little tidbits that they'd like to add to our creative grid

On our supply tables you'll find everything you need for crafty inspo, from paint, pencils, and paper, to stickers, plaster of paris, pom poms, ribbons, sequins, glitter and more!

Wow. What an absolutely AMAZING return session we had today after our little break!

It was perfect; cup filling, relaxing, connecting and grounding.
