Yaama β€œhello” everyone πŸ‘‹πŸΎ we are open today tomorrow and Sunday. 😊 4pm-9pm 22 Stewart avenue Hamilton Nsw 2203🌈🌈🌈🌈

The Newcastle safe haven hub is a safe, non clinical drop in centre for people who may be experiencing suicidal ideation or who have been impacted by su***de.

The safe haven provides an alternative to presenting to an emergency department where individuals can seek assistance to link into additional community supports, undertake safety planning if required, or simply sit with others during a tough time.

No referral is required and all ages are welcomed.

Currently the Safe haven is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm-9pm.These times have been chosen to provide support when there are often few alternative services to access.

The safe haven is staffed by peer workers with a lived experience of su***de and mental health clinicians. if an individual requires more acute support, staff will complete a warm handover with the associated emergency department or mental health team to ensure continuity of care.

People with lived experience of su***de have been involved in the co -design process to ensure the safe haven is tailored to community needs, are welcoming and meet the needs of those accessing the service. We are located at 22 Stewart avenue Hamilton 2303 in Newcastle 🌞⭐️🌸🌈😊
