What a great day out for participants and staff at the Geelong Cats AFL Community Camp in Warrnambool! 🏉

A big group headed along to the open training session at Reid Oval to watch the Cats in action as they prepare for the 2026 season, and with a few die-hard supporters in the mix, the atmosphere delivered.

In a really special and thoughtful gesture, the Geelong Cats also gifted Mulleraterong a signed guernsey, which will be proudly displayed at the Centre or used to support future fundraising efforts. You can see in the group photo with the Cats’ Head of Community, Will McGregor, Nerida proudly holding up the signed guernsey - a moment that made an already great day even more memorable.

A wonderful community experience enjoyed by participants and staff alike. 💙🤍

Neil, Tom and Emma, accompanied by staff, attended the Having a Say Conference in Geelong on Wednesday - Australia’s largest conference led by and for people with disability.
The conference aims to empower people with disability to have a say on issues that affect their lives, celebrate ability and achievement, and connect with others through shared experiences and self-advocacy.

We joined in on a range of sessions and activities focused on speaking up, building confidence, forming friendships, and learning more about rights, inclusion and community participation. From workshops and performances to open mic sessions and social activities, it was a day filled with opportunities to listen, share and connect.

A meaningful experience and a great chance to be part of conversations that help build a more inclusive future. Thanks to VALID, sponsors and partners for a wonderful experience.

Welcome back, Kim! 🧡
After some precious time away on maternity leave, we’re absolutely delighted to have Kim back at the Centre.
Her return has brought big smiles from both staff and participants, as if she never left! We’re so lucky to have her warmth, energy and experience back in the building. Celebrating with a 2 Doors caffeine hit! ✌️☕

Dinner's served - Thai style! 🍜
What better way to kick off our 2026 Community Connections dinners than sharing good food, good conversation and great company!

Nick W, Tom, Jarrod, Tara & Suzanne ordered and paid for their own meals (with confidence!) before sitting down to enjoy the delicious flavours and relaxed vibes together at Thai Town, with Dylan, Chelsea, and Sallie.

From smiles over satay to chats between courses, this night was all about independence, friendship and the simple joy of being out in the community. A beautiful reminder of how these outings support life skills and connection – and just how much fun they are!

As part of our Community Connections Calendar, participants enjoyed a special trip to the Hamilton Cinema to see The Grand Prix of Europe on Friday. The film was full of energy and drama, and so was our crew, who brought their own excitement and smiles on the outing!

Big thanks to Duncan, Matt, Jarrod, Judy, Marie, Jesse, and Tim for the shared laughs and post-movie chats 🧡

As we look ahead to 2026, the Board is eager to grow our membership base, and we’d love your help.
Mulleraterong has always been powered by its people - participants, staff, families, volunteers, and community members who care deeply about our mission. Becoming a paid member is one small way to make a big difference. It ensures your voice is heard in shaping the future of the organisation, gives you voting rights at our AGM, and demonstrates your commitment to a more inclusive community.

In recent years, our paid membership numbers have slowly declined, and we’d love to turn that around. Whether you're a family member, a carer, or a supporter of the Centre, consider becoming a paid member in 2026. And if you're already a member - thank you! Please help us spread the word, or tag someone who might appreciate it.
