“I barely have the energy to get through the day… how is exercise going to help?”

When you’re already feeling exhausted, it’s completely understandable to question whether movement will help, or just make things worse.

But when it’s gradual, gentle and tailored to you, exercise can actually support your body in ways you might not expect.

It can help:
• improve energy over time
• reduce aches and tension
• support mood and sleep
• maintain strength so everyday tasks feel easier

The key isn’t doing more, but doing the right amount, in the right way.

👉 If you’ve been unsure whether exercise is worth trying, this might be your sign to explore it with the right support.

Struggling with chronic fatigue? Discover safe and effective exercise strategies to boost energy, improve function, and reduce fatigue symptoms.

At Gen Health, we’re committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care for our community.

From 30 March, there will be a small adjustment to some of our service fees as part of our annual review of pricing. These updates help us continue to support our growing team, invest in professional development, and maintain the high standard of care our patients expect.

The updated pricing will apply to private paying appointments, with fees reflecting practitioner experience and clinical expertise.

If you have any questions about how this may apply to your appointments, our friendly admin team is always happy to help.

Thank you for your continued support of our clinic and team. 💚

We are excited to welcome Chrissy, Occupational Therapist, to the Gen Health team! 💚

Chrissy loves the versatility of Occupational Therapy and supporting people at all stages of life. She has a particular interest in helping women through life transitions and changes, and values listening to people’s stories to help them participate in the things that matter most.

Occupational Therapy is such a much-needed service in our region, and we are thrilled to be expanding our service offerings to support our community even further.

Chrissy’s journey into OT was inspired by her desire to work in healthcare and the variety the profession offers. From working with children to adults, there’s always a new challenge and opportunity to make a difference.

Outside the clinic, you will find Chrissy exploring playgrounds and gardens with her two little girls, baking, reading, swimming, or enjoying a good coffee (and slowly dabbling in craft and gardening!).

We are thrilled to have Chrissy on board and can’t wait for our community to welcome her!

Not sure what to donate for Share the Dignity? We’ve got you covered 😉

Throughout March, Gen Health is proud to be a collection point for the Share the Dignity Drive, helping provide essential period products to people experiencing homelessness or hardship.

The reason we collect a range of products is simple: Everyone deserves access to the type of period care that works best for them.

All donations must be new, sealed in their original packaging, and meet Australian quality standards.

If you’re popping past the clinic this month, consider bringing along a small donation. It’s a simple way to support dignity and wellbeing in our community.

In our new Sports Injury Clinic, we’re helping local athletes get clarity around weekend injuries sooner (not weeks later). Because knowing *what* the injury actually is (and what to do next) can make all the difference.

An ankle sprain isn’t always just an ankle sprain.
A “corky” might not be what you think.
And getting it right early = less time on the sidelines.

This clinic is designed to:
✔ Assess injuries early
✔ Provide a clear diagnosis
✔ Set you up with the right plan from day one

Access is via your club’s QR code (shared with trainers and coaches), so you can get the right support, fast.

Clubs we haven’t connected with yet - we’d love to hear from you.

Life after a stroke can feel like learning everything again.

For many, the biggest frustrations aren’t always the obvious ones, but the smaller things that matter most. Opening a jar. Writing a note. Holding a cup of tea. Managing energy throughout the day.

If you or someone you care about is navigating recovery after a stroke, Occupational Therapy can play a powerful role in rebuilding independence and confidence.

At Gen Health, our OTs work alongside people recovering from neurological injuries to help improve hand and arm function, manage fatigue, and support a gradual return to everyday activities - whether that’s hobbies, social outings, or work.

Recovery doesn’t stop after the first few months. With the right support, progress can continue well beyond the early stages.

If you’ve been wondering whether Occupational Therapy could help you take the next step in your recovery, we’re here to talk.

Feeling constantly tired and unsure if exercise will help… or make it worse?

Living with chronic fatigue can make the idea of exercising feel overwhelming. Low energy, aches, and unpredictable flare-ups can make it hard to know where to start, or whether movement is even safe.

Our latest blog from Emma (Exercise Physiologist) explores how carefully structured, gradual exercise can actually help improve energy levels, reduce pain, and support long-term wellbeing.

Inside the blog we cover:
• why exercise can help manage chronic fatigue
• simple ways to start moving safely
• how to pace activity to avoid flare-ups
• practical strategies to rebuild strength and stamina

If fatigue has been holding you back, this guide might help you take the first step with confidence.

Period products are a basic need, not a luxury. 🩸

This March, we’re proud to be a collection point for Share the Dignity, helping ensure that no one in our community has to go without.

Jess shares why this initiative matters, and how something small can make a real difference.

If you’re heading to the shops this week, consider adding an extra pack of period products to your trolley. It’s a simple act that can have a big impact for someone doing it tough.

Donations can be dropped into the collection box at our reception throughout March. With only a couple of weeks to go, now’s the time to act.

Thank you for helping us support dignity, access, and care in our community. 💚
