Harvest season doesn’t leave much room for fancy meals or long prep, which is why I stick to four simple rules that make feeding the crew easy and nourishing.
When your meals are freezer-friendly, packed with balanced nutrition, and can be eaten one-handed in the ute, you’re not just saving time — you’re fuelling everyone properly for those long days in the paddock.

And yes, even the fussiest farmers will be happy 😉

I don’t know about you, but all I’m seeing lately is protein, protein, protein.
And look I’m not here to bang on about why it’s important (you already know that).

What I am here to do is tell you how much you actually need.

Because the answer isn’t one-size-fits-all. It depends on your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.

Weight loss isn't just calories in vs calories out. Now don't get me wrong, that is an important aspect, however there is so much more to it.

You're not lazy. You're not broken. Weight gain is complex.

From hormone imbalances and thyroid issues to nervous system dysregulation and gut health, there are many reasons your body might be holding on to weight.

This is why a holistic, root-cause approach matters. You deserve support that looks beyond the surface 💛

If this speaks to you, you're not alone. My Happy Healthy Whole program is built for women just like you—rural, resilient, and ready to reclaim their health.

Think eating more protein means eating more meat? Think again.

One of the biggest nutrition myths I see — especially among rural women — is that the only way to boost your protein is by piling on more steak or chicken.

But protein isn’t just found on the BBQ!
It’s in eggs, lentils, yoghurt, nuts, seeds, tofu, even oats. When you mix it up, your digestion, energy and hormones all benefit (and your grocery budget does too).

You don’t need more meat — you need more variety.

Your body is always talking to you — are you listening?

Here are 5 signs your hormones might be out of balance:
🔹 Spotting between periods
🔹 Mood swings that come out of nowhere
🔹 Breakouts around your chin or jawline
🔹 Stubborn weight that won’t budge
🔹 Painful periods or ovulation

These symptoms are common, but they’re not normal — and you don’t have to just put up with them. With the right support, your hormones can feel balanced, your moods steadier, and your cycle so much easier.

Comment or DM CALL to book a free discovery call and let’s chat about how I can help you find your balance again.

3 simple hormone swaps every rural woman needs to know

If you’re wanting to support your hormones (without overcomplicating things), start here:
1️⃣ Switch to a stainless steel water bottle — ditch the plastic and the hormone-disrupting chemicals that come with it.
2️⃣ Eat a protein-rich breakfast — it stabilises blood sugar, fuels your body, and helps with inflammation + energy.
3️⃣ Go low-tox with your beauty products — your skin is your largest organ, and what goes

These swaps are easy, practical, and make a huge difference over time.

💬 Comment CALL if you’d like support creating a simple, hormone-friendly plan that works with rural life.

Too tired to think about dinner after a big day on the farm? 🌾
Here’s my 3-step balanced meal blueprint that works every single time:

🥩 Protein – 150–180 g to keep you full + stabilise energy
🥑 Healthy fats – a thumb-size serve for brain + hormone health
🥕 Veggies – aim for 2 cups for better digestion, moods + sleep

It’s not fancy, it’s foundational. No calorie counting, no rigid rules — just simple, nourishing food that works for real rural life.

🚫 Stop wasting your money in the “health food” aisle. Most of what’s in there is overpriced, ultra-processed, and not as healthy as the packaging makes you think.

✅ Real health is in whole foods you recognise — fresh fruit, veg, meat, eggs, dairy, nuts, seeds.
💡 Hot tip: stick to the outside of the supermarket — that’s where the real food lives. The aisles? Only for essentials.

Small shifts like this make eating well simpler and more affordable.

💬 Do you usually shop the aisles or the edges of the supermarket?

One thing you’ll never see me buying in the supermarket “health food” aisle? Protein bars.

Most are packed with synthetic ingredients you can’t even pronounce — and they fall into the ultra-processed food category. If we’re building a holistic, nourishing life, we want real food that our bodies actually recognise. 🌿

That doesn’t mean you have to miss out on quick, protein-rich snacks though! I’ve got a list of better, whole-food protein bar options that I personally use and recommend.

💬 Comment PROTEIN below and I’ll send you the list!

When life on the farm gets busy, I lean on 3 trusty pantry staples that never let me down: eggs, tinned tomatoes, and lentils.

They’re simple, nourishing, budget-friendly, and can be turned into a meal in minutes — whether it’s a quick omelette, hearty dahl, or a pot of bolognese to feed the whole family.

Because some nights, dinner feels like one more job on the list… and that’s when these pantry heroes save the day.

💬 What are YOUR top 3 pantry staples? Share them in the comments so we can all swap ideas for quick, nourishing meals.
