Dementia doesn’t just impact the person living with the condition and their immediate carers; it also impacts their friends, family and wider social network.

People living with dementia tell us that friends and family often drop away, not knowing how to interact with them once they have a diagnosis.

This leads to social isolation and loneliness and can further drive stigma and discrimination. With an estimated 433,300 Australians living with dementia and 1.7 million people involved in their care, chances are you know someone who is impacted by dementia.

Healthy Habits for Kids: Setting Them Up for a Lifetime of Wellness! 🌱
As parents and caregivers, we all want the best for our kids — and that starts with teaching them healthy habits early on! Here are some simple ways to help your little ones stay active, eat well, and feel their best:
🍽️ Balanced Diet – Encourage a variety of colorful fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins. Healthy snacks like apple slices with peanut butter or carrot sticks with hummus are great options!
🏃‍♂️ Active Play – Kids need at least 1 hour of physical activity every day. From running around outside to dancing to their favorite tunes, staying active is key to developing strong muscles and bones.
💤 Good Sleep Routine – Sleep is essential for growth and development. Set a bedtime routine that helps your child unwind, like reading together or listening to calming music.
🧠 Mental Health Matters – Encourage open conversations about feelings and make time for fun, stress-free activities. Teaching mindfulness techniques or doing a puzzle together can help kids relax and focus.
💧 Stay Hydrated – Water is the best drink for kids! Make sure they drink enough water throughout the day to stay hydrated and energized.
If you have any questions about your child’s health or would like to book a check-up, we’re here to help!

Travelling overseas with bub is stressful enough without having to worry about measles.
Infants 6 to 12 months of age who are travelling overseas, are eligible for a free measles vaccine.
This vaccine provides early protection and doesn’t replace the routine measles vaccinations at 12 months and 18 months of age.
