So many clients have had respiratory distress from the two recent fires that included plastics so we have installed a particle monitor in Harden to keep a live update on air quality.

Watch: With two minute updates, The US EPA PM2.5 Air Quality Index (AQI) is a number used by US government agencies to communicate to the public how polluted the air currently is or how polluted it is forecast to become.

We will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week to attend a family funeral. Back open on Monday 3rd march

We were suffering a little survivors guilt about getting through the storm unscathed.

…So we are going to take in one or two doctors from the medical centre to operate out of the hydrotherapy premises until their building is fixed.

This might make things a little cosy at times with people coming and going but we believe it is essential to keep the towns services going any way we can.

We hope to have the doctor in later this week but for sure by next Monday. Their reception number will stay the same.

Power is back on at the Hydro pool and we are operating normally, even our phone is working.

We have no power to the pool at the moment so we can still see people but not if their appointment includes hydrotherapy. I’ll post again if the power returns. If you need to contact us please call on 0439706993 as our telephone is out until the power comes back on.

We are now open for business at the new premise, but still no phone line… waiting since 19th of December.
We have had a few people go through their paces in the pool and Alex has been able to put all the new Pilates equipment to use.

We open on Monday the 6th of January at the new premises, the Hydrotherapy Pool, 10 East Street Harden.

Initially we offer hydrotherapy in conjunction with a physiotherapy consultation but should soon have the staff to conduct small group exercise classes in the pool.

We still don’t have a phone number for the practice but that should be fixed in a few days, in the meantime you can contact us via Facebook messenger.

Don’t get too excited…. There are still two slow leaks in the external pipe work that we have to track down and fix as soon as our Sylwrap arrives from the UK...But it is nice to see the pool full, the filter system and heating working and the treadmill running silently.

To the sporting teams of Harden/Murrumburrah

We are aiming next year to provide access to the hydrotherapy pool for small group training. If any of the coaches want to get in touch with us and train in the safe use of the pool and treadmill we will happily train them so they can supervise their own athletes. Anyone training as a supervisor must have a current St John’s Ambulance certificate and be covered by their sporting clubs insurance. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide this access without a qualified person to supervise, and I'm sure that everyone understands we would never allow unsupervised pool use. I'm sure many members of our community will be pleased to see the hydrotherapy pool once again being used by local sporting clubs.
