World Down Syndrome DayπŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’›

The 21st of March is a very special day as it represents the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

This day allows us to create awareness around the stereotypes that people with Down syndrome may face throughout their lives. For people with Down syndrome these stereotypes can make them feel as through they aren't being treated like the other people around them, and are often underestimated and excluded. This is because people do not understand, and are uniformed about this disability.

So, for World Down Syndrome Day 2024, we call for people around the world to end the stereotypes and learn more about these unique people to create a safe space for all!!
