Such a beautiful day with our Building Connections Homeschooling group. Healthy Relationships was the subject today and such a great opportunity to learn with the horses and each other that trust, communication, respect, boundaries, kindness are all important elements for having healthy relationships.

Our Building Connections Program is a great opportunity to get connected with horses, art, nature and a community of people that have similar interests to you. The Program is run by qualified Equine Assisted Therapist and Art Therapist and these group sessions are about combating loneliness, improving mental health and having a bit of fun. Participants with NDIS are very much welcome. This would come under community and social participation. The group sessions are not therapy sessions but provide a therapeutic outlet. The adult sessions start in April and looking for more teenagers for our teenage group. Please feel free to reach out on admin@adonaiequine.com.au for more info.

After a big morning where horses teach us humans, that they too are all different!! Seeing a hoola hoop for the first time up close, some horses can react calmly and some can be anxious and have a big reaction. Neither is wrong. Like horses, we too as humans, sometimes need more support and reassurance that everything is ok.

How would you describe the emotion for Zyros third photo?

Has anyone got any crazy facial pics of their dog??

🐴 🧠 what happens in the brain when a child / teenager/ adult meets a horse?

Emerging research is helping us to understand what we see everyday here at Adonai- the powerful impact horses can have on clients regulation, confidence and well being.

Thanks to funding from the Horses and Humans Research Foundation there is now growing evidence that people especially children with Autism, can make greater progress when therapy includes horses.

Horses having been helping humans for generations. So good that science is finally catching up.
The research can be found on this below link;

HHRF has been funding competitive research since its founding. Listed below are all of the awarded projects, including copies of their winning applications and copies of final reports and abstracts when available.
