About the Role:
✅ Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Some Saturdays & overtime as needed)
✅ CNC machine knowledge is highly regarded but not essential
✅ Responsible for quality checks, measurements, and troubleshooting
✅ Flexible role—assembly & fabrication as required
✅ Hourly rate based on experience
✅ Some site work involved
✅ Knowledge of Capral & Alspec commercial extrusions is a plus

The Ideal Candidate:
✔ Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
✔ Ability to read plans, assembly plans, and cutting sheets
✔ Preferable experience in operating CNC machinery & computers
✔ Understanding of dimensions and job sheets
✔ Experience in fabricating commercial architectural aluminium is preferred
✔ Strong verbal & written communication skills
✔ Physically fit (able to lift up to 20kg)
✔ Well-organized with good time management
✔ Own vehicle & current driver's license required
✔ Must have own hand tools & cordless drills (Air tools provided)

We are a growing commercial aluminium window and door fabrication business seeking a detail-oriented Procurement / Purchasing Assistant to support our operations. This role involves sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services essential to our production, with a focus on aluminium extrusions, glazing components, fabrication materials, and architectural door hardware.

Responsibilities include:

Procure aluminium extrusions primarily from Capral and Alspec Aluminium.
Source powder coating, anodising, glass, and glazing components.
Order fabrication materials, door hardware (locks, handles, hinges, closers, etc.), and fasteners.
Manage subcontractor orders and contracts.
Arrange access equipment hire, crane, and crane truck services.
Ensure procurement stays within project budgets while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Source quotations from both new and existing suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and best value.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier databases.
Key skills and experience:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with Logikal software is an advantage.
Knowledge of glass types and Australian standards is highly desirable.
Prior experience in the construction or aluminium window industry is preferred.
Understanding of architectural door hardware and its compatibility with aluminium doors is a plus.
Strong negotiation, organisational, and communication skills.

Assist Factory workers with Aluminium Frame assembly Load and secure Frames, A-Frames, Stillages and Glass to Truck
Deliver Finished Goods to project construction sites and pick up orders from suppliers
drive forklift to load and unload deliveries check-in received materials inspect quality quantities
Physical fitness is required, as some heavy lifting is involved.
Adaptable, flexible and a positive "Can do" attitude
Must have clear written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work alone and with others following OHS safety procedures at all times
Ensure trucks and Forklift are serviced and maintained when due and kept clean and safe at all times.
