✨ Have you heard of glimmers? ✨
Last week, a beautiful friend reminded me of something I’d let slip from my mind… glimmers.
I was having one of those moments.
You know the kind. Too many tabs open in your brain, the never-ending to do list, the feeling of juggling far too much.
And then she said:
“Keep searching for the little glimmers in each day as a first step.”
Ahhh… wise words from a level head.
Glimmers are the opposite of triggers. They’re those tiny, unexpected moments that spark calm, joy, or safety in your nervous system.
✨ Warm sun on your skin
✨ Your favourite song on the radio
✨ Your kids belly laughing
✨ That first sip of chai (or coffee!) in a quiet house
Small, fleeting, but oh so powerful.
They don’t erase the chaos, but they soften it. They remind us that even in the messy, overwhelming moments… our nervous system can find ease.
And the more we notice them, the more we can weave them into everyday life—helping us feel steadier, calmer, more connected.
For me, yoga is a constant glimmer. Stepping onto my mat, closing my eyes, and taking that first conscious breath doesn’t make my problems vanish, but it reminds me that I can pause, reset, soften.
Maybe your glimmer will be a hug from a friend, your dog greeting you like you’re the best human alive, or that quiet exhale at the end of savasana.
So this week, instead of waiting for the big holiday or the stars to align… what if you looked for just one glimmer each day?
Tiny sparks can shift everything ✨
With love,
Kacey x
