Your brain can literally change how much pain you feel. 🧠
Research shows meditation can reduce chronic pain intensity by rewiring how your brain processes pain signals. It's not just relaxation - it's neuroplasticity in action.
Ready to discover how powerful your mind really is?

Your deadline stress from 2019 might still be living in your shoulders. 😳
Stress doesn't just disappear when the situation ends - it can sometimes get stored in your fascia. That tight neck, those tense hips, that constant jaw clenching? Your body could be holding years of accumulated stress.
The good news? What gets stored can be released.

Trochanteric bursitis can make simple activities like walking, climbing stairs, or lying on your side intensely painful.
At Alive Physio & Wellness, we understand that while inflammation in the hip bursa causes immediate symptoms, there can often be other contributing factors in the body including fascial restrictions throughout the hip and pelvic region.
Fascial Counterstrain offers gentle techniques to release these patterns, improve lymphatic drainage, and restore normal hip mechanics.
By addressing all factors contributing to bursitis – not just the inflammation itself – this approach can help create lasting resolution rather than temporary symptom relief.

Today we celebrate the ancient practice that continues to transform lives around the world - including right here at Alive Physio & Wellness.

Post-Concussion Syndrome can create frustrating symptoms that persist long after the initial injury.
At Alive Physio & Wellness, we understand how concussive forces affect not just the brain but also the protective fascial systems surrounding cranial nerves, blood vessels, and the dura.
Fascial Counterstrain offers gentle techniques to release protective patterns, potentially improving circulation, neural function, and vestibular balance. This complementary approach addresses physical components that may contribute to persistent headaches, dizziness, and cognitive symptoms.
While working alongside medical care, many people find that addressing these often-overlooked fascial components provides meaningful support for their recovery process.

Living with dystonia or mixed motor disorders creates unique movement challenges that affect comfort and daily function.
At Alive Physio & Wellness, we understand how protective fascial patterns can develop alongside neurological symptoms, sometimes creating additional limitations.
Fascial Counterstrain offers remarkably gentle techniques to address these physical manifestations without overstimulating the nervous system.
While we cannot change the neurological cause, many people find this approach helps reduce secondary tension, improves comfort during movement, and supports better overall function.
Our careful, individualized approach works alongside your medical team to provide appropriate support for your specific needs.

Whiplash creates complex symptoms that can persist long after the initial accident, sometimes despite normal imaging findings.
At Alive Physio & Wellness, we understand that acceleration-deceleration forces affect multiple systems beyond just neck muscles – including neural pathways, vascular structures, and autonomic regulation.
Fascial Counterstrain offers a comprehensive approach that addresses protective patterns in all affected tissues, potentially resolving symptoms that haven't responded to conventional treatment. Whether you're in the acute phase or dealing with persistent symptoms months or years later, this gentle approach may provide meaningful relief by addressing the often-overlooked fascial components of whiplash.

Created by husband and wife team, our journey started in 2007. It was a memorable year for us. We had our first child and we started running a home-based Physiotherapy practice in Jerrabomberra, Canberra. With our commitment to providing a high standard of patient care, we believed in empowering patients to achieve wellness, rather than just dealing with episodes of pain.
Nad always looked past the symptoms presented and looked at the bigger picture of what is going on in the patients' whole body. This philosophy together with his unique treatment style and patient education meant we had no choice but to expand the business into a commercial premise in 2012 with other physiotherapists and complementary practitioners. After running a successful practice for 9 years, we closed the business in 2016. However, Nad continues to travel to Canberra once a month to look after his patients.
Alive Physio and Wellness was born in 2014 with our relocation to Melbourne. We are excited to share our knowledge with our patients and continue to strive to provide 'best practice' in physiotherapy.
