Spring Cleaning for the Mind 🧹

Reframe decluttering as inner and outer.

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your home — it can be for your mind too. What thought, habit, or story are you ready to release?

Journal Prompt: If I could gently release one habit, story, or self-doubt this Spring, what would it be?

You finally sit down at the end of a long day. The house is quiet (for once), and you take a deep breath… only to find your mind has decided now is the perfect time to replay every conversation, rehash tomorrow’s to-do list, and remind you of the washing you forgot in the machine.

Sound familiar?

If your mind feels busy, you might have thought, “I just can’t meditate. I’m not good at switching off.”

I want you to know something important:
👉 You don’t need to stop your thoughts to meditate.

In fact, nobody can stop their thoughts. Our minds are designed to think — it’s their job.

The good news is, mindfulness meditation isn’t about getting rid of thoughts. It’s about creating a little more space around them, so they don’t feel quite so loud or controlling.

☔️ Hey you…

Yep, it’s another rainy day and you’re feeling a little ‘blah’.

Rainy days can feel heavy, but they can also be an invitation — a gentle nudge to slow down and recharge.

Even if you’re working and the day feels hectic, you’ll have those little breaks you look forward to. So when you grab your coffee or tea, here’s something to try:

✨ Pause for just 10 minutes.
✨ Look out the window.
✨ Really listen to the rain.

Let the sound of it wash through you like a reset button — softening your energy, refreshing your mind, and giving you space to breathe.

Try it today, and notice how different you feel. 💙

“You don’t have to stop your thoughts”

Ever heard that meditation means stopping your thoughts?

If that were true, none of us could do it.

Meditation is more like sitting by a stream, watching your thoughts float past like leaves.

You don’t need to chase them, and you don’t need to push them away — just let them pass.

✨ That’s the whole magic.

💬 What’s your “busy mind” most likely to think about?

The day’s finally over, but your mind… didn’t get the memo.
It’s still sorting through the to-do list, replaying conversations, planning tomorrow’s dinner, and remembering that thing you meant to do two weeks ago.

If you’ve ever heard “meditation means stopping thoughts” — no wonder it sounds impossible.
The truth? You don’t need to stop your thoughts. You just need to befriend them.

✨ Imagine sitting quietly, noticing each thought, and letting it drift away like a leaf on water.
No fighting. No fixing. Just… noticing.

💬 Ever tried it? What happened?

“I’m so busy.”
Sound familiar? 😅

It’s the new national greeting — but maybe it’s time to retire it.

Saying we’re “so busy” can hide overwhelm, stress, or just the fact that we haven’t stopped to notice how we’re really feeling.

A friend of mine has a mindful alternative:
“I’m working on X, and even though it’s taking up a lot of my time, I’m really enjoying it.”

It’s honest, intentional, and opens the door to a richer conversation.

Next time someone asks, “How are you?” try skipping the autopilot “I’m so busy” and share what’s actually happening — with a little light-heartedness if you like. Your words shape your reality, and your reality is more than just your to-do list.

The late-night Netflix spiral.

You say “just one more episode”… but the next thing you know, the clock says 11:47 pm and you’ve got that sinking feeling about tomorrow morning.

You tell yourself you need something to unwind after the day you’ve had — but somehow, it leaves you feeling more wired than rested.

What if your evening wind-down left you calmer, not more stimulated?

Just 5 minutes of mindful breathing can send your body the message:
“It’s safe to rest now.”

💬 Do you struggle with winding down at night?

You get home, drop your bag, and before you know it, you’re cooking dinner… again.

Somehow the dishwasher’s full (but still dirty), the washing basket is overflowing, and you’re wondering when you last did something just for you.

You tell yourself you’ll rest “once everything’s done” — but somehow, everything is never done.

Here’s a gentle reminder:
Your worth isn’t measured by the number of plates you spin.

Even 5 minutes of stillness can be the reset you need.

💬 Do you find it hard to take time for yourself without feeling guilty

🌊 Have you ever lived through a lifequake?

One moment, your life feels stable. The next, everything you thought you knew crumbles.

In 2017, I walked away from a job I had invested years into — not by choice, but by necessity. What followed was devastation, confusion, and an unraveling I couldn’t explain.

It wasn’t just burnout. It was deeper. A shift I didn’t have language for at the time.
And then one morning, walking the beach, I heard a quiet message:
“You need to meditate.”

That simple sentence didn’t fix everything — but it changed everything.

My latest piece explores what happens when life cracks open, and how we begin to rebuild — not to who we were, but to who we’re meant to become.

🌀 Not all destruction is a tragedy. Sometimes, it’s sacred.

🌟 Vibrational Alignment for Success 🌟
As a proud member of Women with Altitude and team member of the Upper Mountains Network, I’m excited to be sharing a unique vibrational experience this Thursday to support our alignment for success — from the inside out. ✨

Whether you’re building a business, leading a team, or simply navigating the day-to-day, your energy matters.

Here are 5 reasons why vibrational alignment is a game-changer for women in business:

1️⃣ Clarity of Mind – When your energy is clear and grounded, decisions become easier and aligned with your true vision.
2️⃣ Resilience Under Pressure – A regulated nervous system helps you respond rather than react, even in high-stress moments.
3️⃣ Magnetic Presence – People are drawn to your calm, authentic energy — it builds trust and connection.
4️⃣ Creative Flow – Alignment opens the doorway to intuition and innovation — essential for growing your business.
5️⃣ Sustainable Success – When your inner world is in harmony, success becomes soulful, not stressful.

💫 Come along, reconnect with your centre, and tune into the frequency of what’s possible.
