Where the north meets the south, in my incursion today š„°
This time of year in the Northern hemisphere the sun and moon cycle is calling upon its gatherers and hunters to relish in the Goddess Ostara and celebrate as we do what the meaning of her name suggests - āto move towards the rising sunā ā¦. And harvest the seeds weāve sown and sungā¦.šš¦
But here in the great land of Oz, it is time to acknowledge, recognise, respect and celebrate the Wurundjeri season we are currently in, the Eel season šŖ±
To have children understand where they are and interconnect so they can feel they belong and want to care and protect what they love so muchā¦
To have a felt sense of what changing of seasons means for other creatures too, who deserve our respect and love just as muchā¦
To honour those hear before us, the oldest living culture, and so what we must šš½ā¤ļø
