🌿Prospect Hill Weekly Wrap Up 🌿

It’s been a wet and chilly week in Newcastle, but that hasn’t stopped everyone from getting out and about and enjoying themselves. ☔❄️

Dave and Sean decided to escape the cold with a shopping trip, picking up some warm jumpers and comfy new slippers to help keep cosy through winter. Between the rain showers, Sakura also managed to get out for a lovely walk through the park, stopping to admire the kangaroo sculptures along the way. 🦘

Glyniss has continued enjoying one of her favourite little outings — grabbing her much-loved Macca’s coffees ☕💛 while Georgia had a surprise run-in with Sue while out and about, leading to a lovely catch-up and chat together.

Aimie proudly showed us her MND shirt from last year’s “Hunter Walk,” which she participated in alongside her family. This year, she would love to extend the invitation to her Prospect Hill family as well, which we think is such a beautiful and thoughtful idea. 💙

Meanwhile in Townsville, the weather could not have been more different — not a cloud in the sky! ☀️ Shane, Dennis and Conway made the most of the cracking weather with a fantastic BBQ and some great company. It was also an early celebration for Dennis, with the big 5-0 coming up very soon! 🎉

To finish off the week, Michala and Georgia continue to thrive as housemates and are getting along so well. Today they independently made afternoon tea together, which was absolutely lovely to see. 🧁💛

Another wonderful week across Prospect Hill filled with friendship, community and plenty of smiles.

🌿Prospect Hill Weekly Wrap🌿

It’s been another big week across Prospect Hill, full of everyday wins, community outings, good food, and plenty of moments worth sharing.

Nathan had a great outing to Mortels this week where he picked up some fancy new slippers and spent time exploring the sheepskin museum. While he was out and about, he also got to wander through the markets and couldn’t go past a little sweet treat.

Georgia and Michala have been making the most of the better weather, squeezing in exercise while the sun was out and getting on top of chores before the rain arrived. Michala kept her treadmill routine going strong, while Georgia gave the new vacuum cleaner a proper workout around the house. Megs has also been keeping up with her fitness this week, tackling the long driveway while taking the recycling bin out.

Over in Ferodale, there’s been a bit of friendly competition in the kitchen with Jaydon, Guy, Jeremy and Scott all getting involved in cooking up dinner. Sweet and Sour Chicken versus Roast Pork and Veggies definitely made for a fun night in the house. Guy also took a quiet moment during the week to strip and remake his bed, enjoying that fresh sheets feeling.

Sakura enjoyed a relaxing day out at the art gallery taking in some beautiful pieces, while Julie spent time in the kitchen baking a pineapple cake that turned out absolutely delicious.

Alan has also been making the most of the Townsville sunshine, enjoying time around The Lakes with Kim and one of our new support workers.

It’s the simple things like these that really show the heart of the week — getting out into the community, trying new things, sharing meals, and enjoying everyday moments together.

🌿 Prospect Hill Weekly Wrap 🌿

It’s been another great week at Prospect Hill, filled with outings, creativity, and plenty of everyday wins 💛

There were some lovely moments out and about in the community — Dave enjoyed a classic café breakfast followed by a relaxed pub lunch, while Jack made the most of the warm autumn weather with a trip to the beach 🌊 and proudly showed off his replica wrestling belt afterwards. Nathan also headed out to Big W to get organised for his new home.

There was plenty happening around home too. Megan had a productive day getting on top of ironing, cleaning her fish tank, and then heading out for a relaxing walk in the sunshine 🍂. Steve also enjoyed the beautiful weather with a 2km walk, making a few furry friends along the way, before heading home to bake a delicious chocolate cake from scratch 🍰.

A few creative and calming moments were enjoyed throughout the week as well. Sue spent time making potpourri bags with dried flowers before tending to her plants and enjoying the garden 🌸🌱. Georgia and Michala got creative making beautiful Mother’s Day cards for the special women in their lives 💌.

There were also some really special personal moments — Glyniss enjoyed her “coggie” after a lovely visit with her mum 💛, and Shane and Matt were excited to receive their Prospect Hill birthday presents and celebrate their special day.

Every week brings a mix of connection, independence, creativity, and enjoyment of the little things — and this one was no exception.
