This month, we’re shining a light on the connection between your spine, nervous system, and mental well-being.

You’ll often hear us talk about “rest and digest” mode, but what does that actually mean?

It’s the role of your parasympathetic nervous system (the part of your body that helps you calm down, recover, and restore balance.)

When you’re in “rest and digest” mode, your heart rate slows, your breathing deepens, and your body has the chance to recharge.

In today’s busy world, we often spend too much time in “fight or flight.” This month, we’ll be sharing ways to support your body in finding calm, balance, and resilience.

👉 Back sleepers: A lower pillow is often best, keeping your head in line with your spine instead of pushing it forward.

The way you sleep can make a big difference to how supported your spine feels overnight. Here are some options that can help:

✅ On your back with a pillow under your knees – helps reduce pressure on the lower back.
✅ On your side with a pillow between your knees – keeps hips, pelvis, and spine more aligned.
✅ Neck support matters – choose a pillow that keeps your head level with your spine, not tilted up or down.

😬 Try to avoid stomach sleeping if you can (it often twists the neck and adds strain to the lower back.)

The right position and pillow setup can help your body rest, recover, and wake up feeling refreshed. 😴
