We currently have more availability with Doctors at the practice and will no longer be providing Routine Requests through Hotdoc.

Dr Stijn Dongelmans and Dr Anoop Ramgolam have more availability should your regular Dr be unavailable to do repeat scripts and referrals should you require.

Medications should be reviewed for effectiveness and a consult allows for this. Telephone consult may be an option provided you have attended the practice within the last 12 months.

Our Nurse Amy has just ordered the National Immunisation Program over 65 Flu Vaccines and will have a Flu clinic for 65 and over up and running when they arrive. We will send an email/sms message and post on here when they arrive. Alternatively keep an eye on HotDoc for Flu Clinic bookings :)

Our female Doctor, Dr Norah Kalibbala is now working Mondays. Though Dr Norah is currently not taking on new patients she will see patients for Women's health needs requiring a female GP including Cervical Screening.

FluMist - A needle free influenza immunisation option for children aged 2- 11 will be available at Helena Estate Medical Centre. We will post an update when they arrive. Feel free to call the practice on 08 9374 0083 and leave your name at the front desk to be contacted when they arrive.

From 2026, children aged from 2 to under 12 years can get the influenza vaccine without the needle.

We are pleased to announce Dr Stijn Dongelmans is joining the Helena Estate Medical team in mid March.

Before joining Helena Estate, Dr Stijn worked in the Wheatbelt and with Silverchain palliative care. Throughout, he has become known for his calm and warmth. He values adjusting the medical approach to the goals and values of each individual patient. As well as clinical practice, Dr Stijn works for the Royal Australian College of GPs, training new GPs.

Dr Stijn completed his medical degree in the Netherlands, before falling in love with an Aussie and moving to W.A. He has since worked in several major Perth hospitals. With experience across a variety of disciplines, he became especially proficient in cardiology and geriatric medicine. He has complemented this by working in public health and research, publishing internationally.
In his spare time, Dr Stijn enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, trail-running, walking in the nearby hills, and spending time outdoors.

Dr Stijn enjoys the full spectrum of general practice, with a special interest in:
• Chronic disease inc. diabetes & cardiovascular disease management
• Geriatric Medicine
• Palliative Care
• Preventive Medicine
