Western Australian State emergency measures around vaccine and mask wearing at health facilities including Physiotherapy practices expires tonight.

It will no longer be mandatory to wear a mask when attending the clinic. Nick will continue to wear a mask during appointments.

If you have a cough, fever, cold ie symptoms of COVID please stay away from the clinic, have a RAT test and follow appropriate protocol to reduce spreading COVID in the community.

To all our customers that cheerfully followed the Health measures used during the past 3 years of COVID we thank you for your endeavours to be community minded and thoughtful towards one another.

Unfortunately the clinic will be closed for one week as Nick went down with positive PCR test for COVID on Tuesday. Hopefully back next Tuesday 12/7 symptom free.... Online bookings are still running for next week but will look like a long wait. Dang.

The office will be attended 9-12noon each day.

Due to community spread of Omicron locally, Perth and Peel region now require a mask to be worn at indoor venues - this includes Physiotherapy Clinics.

Starting 17/1/22 - at your appointment we require you to
1. Provide proof of up to date vaccination +/- booster at most 6 months since your second vaccination -
2. Wear a mask, preferably N95 or medical mask rather than cloth mask.
(even though this is an article from an American news outlet it is still applicable

If you are not vaccinated or not intending to get vaccinated please reconsider your stance. It is the best way to stimulate your immunity, reduce spread, reduce hospitalisation, reduce the need for ICU and ventilation, take the pressure off people working in health facilities and protect the community, your family and friends from the disease and possible health issues related to lung damage and post viral symptoms ie long COVID.

And as for COVID chasing parties - rediculous old world ju ju. Don't even think about it.

As COVID-19 spreads throughout Australia, some people want an infection "over and done with". But experts warn there are potentially severe consequences of trying to catch the virus.

Scott Treat Physiotherapy will re-open today, 5/1/22 after 3 week holiday.

Mask mandate persists to Friday 7/1/22 though it is probable that masks will be required to be on inside venues as Omicron moves through the WA population after 5/2/22.

Our staff are fully vaccinated. Nick has had Moderna Booster recently, 6 months after second AZ vaccination. We want to protect our families, friends and vulnerable patients from transmission of COVID-19 and the best way to do that is to be vaccinated, self isolate if you have symptoms and wash hands/wear a mask. DO NOT attend the clinic if you have symptoms, have been to an exposure site or are planning to have a PCR test or waiting for a PCR test result.

If you have not been vaccinated or refuse to provide proof of vaccination we will be offering in rooms appointments to 5/2/22 or when Omicron takes off. We will then be offerring Telehealth appointments if your vaccination status is not current. You will be requested to provide proof of vaccination from 5/2/22. An app is to be released by the WA government next week or you can add it to your Apple Wallet/Google Pay from your Medicare Account - follow prompts to proof of vaccination.

If you need more information about vaccine efficacy please refer to medically informed sites only eg WA Health
