Visiting Henley Beach this morning. In 2019, I launched the Yoga Beach Club here, teaching yoga class every Sunday morning during the spring/summer for 2 years 🧘🏻‍♀️Did you have a chance to come to one of my classes here?

The Henley Square has a special place in my heart as it was also the first place my fiancé and I visited in Jan2018 when we were visiting Adelaide for the first time before moving here few months later.

I’m so grateful for everyone that supported me to start and to everyone that attended the yoga sessions here 🩷

Who knows… maybe we could have a Yoga Beach Club on the Goldie in the future 🤔😊

PAUSE. Have you ever felt like you just wanted to press pause, sit quiet, breathe and take some time to recharge and decide what to do? That’s a yes for me, and that’s what I did last year. You might have wondered where I was, or what have happened, but the true is, I was looking for answers too. 🙇🏻‍♀️On top of that, life happens, and even moving to interstates happened last year.

And after a long period of stillness, it’s time to move and flow along. I’m pressing play again ☀️

I have so many things to share and exciting news to share, but for now, I just want to tell you: if you feel like you need some time… pause. Take the time. Listen to yourself. Rest.

HAVE YOU? Raise your hand if you’ve ever lost yourself in thoughts while doing any pose that you look at your feet 🙋🏻‍♀️🙈

You can’t clear your mind so you don’t have any thoughts... but you can NOTICE that your mind just started wandering and you can BRING the attention back to what your doing.

Give your mind SOMETHING TO DO: bring the attention to your breath IN and the breath OUT. And again, and again, and keep aware of the sensation on your body, and breath IN and OUT...

And it’s applicable to every asana (posture) AND also anytime you need to focus on what you’re doing 😉

By the look on my face, can you guess what I was thinking? 😆

DEALING WITH PERFECTIONISM and procrastinating things you have to do. Does is sound familiar?

I bet you’ve heard before but reality is that sometimes we really want to give the best of us to do something and you kind of procrastinate until you think it’s the right time, or you have all the skills you imagine you need to have, and etc.

Drawing for me is the perfect example of that: I need to be in the right mood, with the best inspo, the best materials etc, when in reality I only needed to give myself space to sit & express myself.

Did I notice the imperfections from my super high expectations of a perfect drawing for someone that paint for fun? Yes.

Did I panicked and told myself “how stupid” or “how could you do that” when I spilt green paint on top of the orange one? Oh yes.

Did I had to stop and think: “wait a minute, I’m supposed to have fun and relax, not treating myself like this... let me be creative and find a way to fix this & appreciate that the rest looks great!!!” ? Yes, work in progress... 🤪

What I mean: stop being hard on yourself. Of course we want to give our best, but we are human beings! Give your best effort and leave perfection for the 🤖

Pay attention to the way you talk to yourself when little things like this conversation when I was painting happens: THE WAY YOU TALK TO YOURSELF MATTER and YOU ARE HERE TO HAVE FUN.

Done is better than perfect ✨
