Feeling grateful! 🥰🩷

After coming home from this morning's gym sess, I am feeling so incredibly grateful!!

I haven't been with Optibods for long, starting in December 2025, however after watching quietly in the wings (yes, slight stalker vibes in a good way if that's possible 😅) I finally got out of my own way and reached out to Jo to join up.

I saw a beautiful friend getting in and working hard on Jo's socials, and thought, YASSS!! This is worth a shot! 🙌💪🩷

I'd been missing the vibe and community of my previous workout group that closed suddenly. I had tried other workout places over the years that had passed, but they weren't quite what I was trying to find. Perhaps I needed to try them so that I would know when the right one for me came on my radar.

Thank the stars for OptiBods - for Women !!

I feel incredibly spoilt actually, based on what I have experienced elsewhere, that I get to be lead by a personal trainer at each of my sessions!!! 🩷💪🙌🎉

This is a fantastic point of difference, and holy sh*te Jo knows her stuff!! My brain is full of the things I juggle for my family, work, study, my weekend business etc so it makes me feel extra grateful to be guided and reminded and nudged at my sessions, because I can totally surrender and rely wholeheartedly on Jo, to tell me what I need to be doing 😂 (could be some perimenopause memory challenges rolled in here too, I honestly think I may need a Jo at home to remind me why I walked down the hallway!)

Jo is a very clever, capable and caring Capricorn with a giant heart, so in my humble opinion this is her calling through and through!! Capricorn are natural leaders, and love to get sh*te done. They see all the reasons we need to be doing something before the rest of us 🤣 They are logical, practical, and of course have already made that decision and are busy moving forward with the next part of the plan!

All of these amazing attributes I am so grateful for in Jo. She is all the things I need from a personal trainer and more, and I'm so glad to be part of this group xox 🌷🌿✨️🩷

I just received a testimonial from a client and wanted to share it with you 🩷💖💝

I joined Optibods with my wedding in mind , I wanted to lose weight and fit into ‘the dress’, but what I’ve gained along the way is so much more than I ever expected.

I won’t lie, the thought of walking into a gym full of people completely freaked me out. My anxiety was through the roof, until I found Jo.

And the best part? I can be completely ME. Whether I’m having a full-blown dance party in the middle of the gym or showing up on a tough day when the negative thoughts creep in. Jo is always there, no judgement, just support.

I’ve honestly never felt so safe, comfortable, and at home in a gym. I’m so grateful I found Jo and Optibods.

One of my beautiful clients walked back into the gym today… 18 weeks pregnant and glowing.

She trained with me for a couple of years leading up to her wedding. At the time the wedding was the goal, but somewhere along the way it stopped being about the wedding and just became her lifestyle. Training, looking after herself, feeling strong… it just became part of who she is.

After the wedding she fell pregnant, which is such a beautiful chapter. But like many women she was hit with terrible morning sickness and absolutely no energy. So she did what she needed to do and took a break.

Today she came back. 💖

We woke her body back up very gently with some light weights, simple movements and just getting those muscles switched back on again. Nothing crazy, just reconnecting with her body.

And you know what I loved the most? She told me she didn’t want to end up back where she started.

That right there is the whole point of what we do. It’s not about a wedding, a holiday, or a number on the scales. It’s about learning habits that stay with you through all stages of life.

Pregnancy, busy seasons, setbacks… life happens. But when you understand how good strength training is for your body and your mind, you always find your way back.

I’m so proud of her for walking back through the doors today. 💗💪🏼

Don’t you ever wish you were one of those people who just eats healthy by choice?

Yeah… I used to think that too.

Now I’m one of those people.

But it didn’t happen overnight.

It happened because I slowly changed my eating habits.

I loved my potato chips and knew they weren’t good so, I swapped them to flavoured rice cakes.
I then changed white bread to multigrain.
I changed full cream milk to lite milk.

Then it kept evolving.

Potatoes became sweet potato.
Ice cream became Greek yoghurt.
I started cooking with fresher ingredients instead of relying on packaged foods.
And so on.

I didn’t do it by chasing perfect diets.

I did it by asking one simple question every time I shopped or ate:

“What is the better option out of the choices in front of me?”

Supermarket shelves are full of options. You just learn to start picking the better ones.

Day by day.
Week by week.
Month by month.

Eventually something interesting happens.

You stop craving fake flavours.
Your body becomes sensitive to bad fats and junk foods.
And eating well is no longer something you have to think about.

It just becomes normal eating habits.

Focus on the better choices and the rest will follow. Trust the process. 🙌🏼
