Do you love bread but hate the carb load that comes with it?

Low carb breads are becoming more and more available, which is great for those of us looking to balance our blood sugars and get an acceptable fullness factor for our meals.

Be careful to check the label however! Low carb by the manufacturers definition, is simply lower in carbohydrate than the original product. That means that a 42g carb toast breakfast can be labeled low carb beside its 45g sister. 🤯

I commonly store 85% lower carb bread for my quick, filling and blood sugar stabilising breakfast. Packing a 24g protein and 1.7g carb content per 2 slices this is a huge winner for women suffering , or trying to loose a little weight.

Did you know pistachio's & pomegranate are high in phytoestrogen?? ⁠

Phytoestrogen's are naturally occurring molecules in many of our plant foods. They are chemically similar to our estrogen hormone and have the ability to bind to estrogen receptors in our body. ⁠

Phytoestrogen's act in two functions; ⁠
🌟 They have a mild estrogenic effect in hormone deficiencies, helping balance estrogen deficiency⁠
🌟 They will compete with harmful estrogens in the case of estrogen excess, reducing the amount of estrogen. ⁠

Put simply, eating foods that have phytoestrogen's (aka my Christmas bark) will help manage your estrogen levels!!⁠

Many women who are prone to emotional changes during their cycle are more likely to experience these also. ⁠

While the topic may be taboo, it is important to monitor your bowel habits as these will tell us a great deal about your health. ⁠
