Support Worker / Driver – Health Cab & Co.

Casual Position – Hervey Bay & Surrounds + Regular Brisbane/Gold Coast Trips

Health Cab & Co. is a person-centred supported transport provider delivering safe, compassionate, and reliable transport for NDIS participants, aged care clients, and medical patients. We are expanding our team and seeking a Support Worker/Driver who genuinely cares about people and takes pride in providing high quality support.

About the Role
This is a casual, flexible position ideal for someone who enjoys variety and meaningful work. Shifts include:
• Local transports to medical appointments, physio, pathology, and allied health
• Community access
• Regular long-distance transports to Brisbane and the Gold Coast for specialist appointments
• Providing supportive assistance, reassurance, and safe mobility for clients throughout their journey
Appointments can be last minute, so flexibility is essential.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
• A confident, safe, and experienced driver with a clean driving history
• Naturally people focused, patient, and able to build rapport with clients
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
• Comfortable supporting clients with mobility, communication, and general assistance
• A non-smoker (client request)

Mandatory Requirements
You must hold (or be willing to obtain):
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• National Police Check
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Valid Driver Licence ( BHTX highly regarded)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Proof of COVID 19 vaccination
Experience in disability, aged care, community support, or transport assistance is highly regarded.

You’ll be supporting NDIS and aged care participants and transporting clients locally and on longer trips, including Brisbane and the Gold Coast, so comfort with longer drives is essential.
