Congratulations everyone!

We are proud to have 15 NEW Mental Health First Aiders. We completed the 2 day course yesterday!

This is a bit of a dream of mine to help the community become more informed, more educated, more knowledge and share our lived experience with each other in a safe and confidential space.

We have some very amazing people in this group with a wealth of lived experience and this will enable each person to help our communities in women’s and men’s walk and talk and beyond!

Thank you Lisa & Dane for your contributions to our communities and helping us all gain Mental Health First Aid Certification. We appreciate and we are so grateful for your time and energy to help us.

We will be having more opportunities to be apart of this and more courses coming in the future stay tuned. We have received emails and messages from those who would like to attend the next one so stay tuned.

Massive thank you to Sue Gordon our treasurer who helped organise this in the background!!! We appreciate your time, help and support! Thanks to the RSL for the grant to provide this course to our participants. Hervey Bay RSL 😊

Yesterday morning, There were 5 bright ladies up early to witness the beautiful sunrise and get a good strong walk in!

We were then met by more friends at coffee ☕️ coffee is honestly the best part of the morning before we all set on a merry way for the day!

We had such a beautiful walk today 💛 18 in total!!!

We welcomed a lovely visitor all the way from Mexico into our Women’s Walk & Talk community, how special is that! 🌏

And of course… another Jenny joined us too 😂 we officially have a few Jenny’s in the crew now!

Some of the girls kept going after the walk to get those extra steps in, training hard for the K’gari walk in May 👣🔥

This is what it’s all about… connection, movement, and supporting each other every step of the way.

Tonight, 8 of us showed up…
(and one very cute doggo 🐶)

We walked, we talked, we connected…
and then that happened…

A sky painted in pinks and purples
Calm water
Stillness
Peace

Those moments where you just stop and think…
wow, this is what it’s all about 💛

No pressure
No expectations

Just humans coming together, moving their bodies, and feeling a little lighter by the end

Grateful for every single person who showed up tonight 🙏
