Today, the Chair of the Fraser Coast Hospice Association Board has released an official statement regarding voluntary administration for the Fraser Coast Hospice.

We understand this news will be deeply upsetting for many in our community and thank our staff, volunteers, supporters, patients, and families for their compassion and understanding during this difficult time.

Ever felt like you're magnetically pulling in the wrong crowd? We've all been there. But guess what? You can learn to attract the cream of the crop. Here are some nuggets of wisdom...

1️⃣ Have a calming influence:
Forget the self-doubt chatter. Embrace your interactions with a sense of calm, and watch as others relax around your serene vibe.

2️⃣ Quit habits that bring you shame:
Confidence shines when you're not putting on a show. Live authentically, and you'll radiate an irresistible energy.

3️⃣ Listen beyond words:
Ever feel like no one's really listening? Be the exception. Tune in to what's not being said, and watch your connections deepen.

4️⃣ Reveal less about yourself:
Mystery is magnetic. Keep a bit of yourself under wraps, and let curiosity do its magic.

5️⃣ Open up physically:
Drop the barriers — physically and mentally. A welcoming stance speaks volumes and invites others to open up, too.

6️⃣ Soften your face:
Ease up on the intensity. A gentle smile goes a long way in making you approachable and attractive.

7️⃣ Make others feel important:
Elevate others, and you'll elevate yourself. It's a win-win.

8️⃣ Slow your movements:
Take it easy. Slow and steady not only wins the race but also exudes confidence and composure.

9️⃣ Ask questions few others ask:
Be genuinely curious. Show interest in others, and watch your connections flourish.

🔟 Ditch drama
Minimise complaining, drama, and disrespect: nobody high quality has time for negativity. Keep it classy, and watch the positive vibes roll in.

Try these tiny tweaks, and watch as the quality of your relationships skyrockets. Keep us posted on how you go. And let us know if you've any further tips to enhance your authenticity.

When the Score Goes Up, So Does the Violence

Tonight, homes across Australia will fill with cheers, jerseys, banter, and beer.
But behind closed doors, many people are bracing for something else entirely.

Research has found domestic violence incidents increase by 40.7% on State of Origin nights in New South Wales. Non-domestic assaults rise even higher. Services across the country prepare for a flood of calls during and after the game.

This isn’t “just sport”.
This is the reality many families live with.

Experts point to the mix of tribalism, alcohol, aggression, and emotional dysregulation surrounding major sporting events. Yet year after year, there is little meaningful action from the organisations profiting from it.

We can love sport and still speak honestly about the harm linked to it.

If someone seems quieter tonight, check in.
If tensions are rising, prioritise safety.
If you need support, reach out early.

Because no game should come at the cost of someone’s safety.

When Relationships Start Feeling Like Roommates Instead of Lovers

Long-term relationships can slowly become all about schedules, chores, bills, work, and parenting.
Conversations become practical. Affection fades. Intimacy feels awkward, forced, or forgotten altogether.

One partner may become critical or frustrated.
The other may shut down or pull away.

Not because love is gone — but because connection has been buried under stress, exhaustion, and routine.

Passion doesn’t disappear overnight.
It fades in the small moments we stop turning towards each other.

The good news? Relationships can heal.

Emotional intimacy, affection, curiosity, laughter, touch, and quality time all help rebuild closeness. Small changes repeated consistently can completely transform the way couples feel about each other.

Healthy relationships are not built on perfection.
They are built on friendship, emotional safety, vulnerability, and feeling chosen again and again.

Sometimes the most powerful question is:
“How can we reconnect instead of keeping score?”

Which slide resonated with you the most?

Stand Up — Even When It’s Uncomfortable 🌈

Today — 17th May — is IDAHOBIT.
The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.
A day for community and allies.

Because the truth is — we’re not there yet.

▪️ 2 in 3 LGBTQIA+ young people still face abuse for who they are.
▪️ Anti-trans abuse is rising across Australia.
▪️ And more people are choosing to stay silent about their identity at work — not from pride, but from fear.

And here’s something many people overlook —
LGBTQIA+ youth now represent around 20% of Gen-Z — and growing.
This is a significant number of your customers, clients, co-workers, and loved ones.

Let that land.

This is where allyship matters most.

Not just in posts. Not just in flags.
In real moments. Everyday ones.

— When someone makes a “joke” that isn’t funny
— When discrimination is brushed off as “just an opinion”
— When silence feels easier than speaking up

That’s the moment.

Speak anyway.

Because respect shouldn’t depend on who is in the room.
Because safety shouldn’t be conditional.
Because being yourself should never come at a cost.

Belonging shapes how safe we feel, and there are real mental health impacts of ongoing discrimination.

And here’s the important part —
Speaking up isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being willing.

Avoiding the moment protects discomfort — not people.
Growth asks you to lean in, reflect, and act.

So today, ask yourself —
Where can I use my voice, even just a little more?

Capricorn Energy — Calm, Capable, and Secretly Chaotic

Capricorns look like they have it all together.
The planner. The responsible one. The calm in the storm.

Meanwhile… inside their mind?
One tiny version is organising everyone’s life.
One is stress-drinking coffee.
One is overthinking at 2am.
One is yelling “WE’VE GOT GOALS!”
And another is lying on the floor pretending adulthood is optional.

Capricorn energy is grounded, loyal, hardworking, and deeply caring — but it can also carry the weight of the world without asking for help.

Even the strongest people need softness too. 🌿

Which mini Capricorn cell are you today?

Should Is a Dirty Word

So many people walk around carrying invisible rules about who they “should” be.

You should work harder.
You should cope better.
You should say yes.
You should keep everyone happy.
You should have it all figured out by now.

Over time, those messages can become deeply programmed into the brain — especially when they came from people who held power, authority, or emotional influence in our lives.

The problem?
“Should” often leaves no room for being human.

It can fuel shame, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and the exhausting feeling that no matter what you do, it is never enough.

A small shift can make a big difference.

Try changing “should” into “could”.

“I could be doing more… but I need to rest.”
“I could have it together by now… nobody's perfect and I’ll try again tomorrow.”
“I could make everyone happy, but I need to prioritise myself so I can continue supporting others.”

“Could” creates choice.
And choice creates space for self-compassion.

An empowered life is not built by constantly meeting everyone else’s expectations. It grows when you start listening to your own values, needs, and limits too.

What is one “should” you could let go of today?

Honouring Mum: A Tribute to Strength and Love

It's that special time of the year to celebrate all the loving, caring, and resilient mums. They're the backbone of our families, the silent heroes who deserve all the love and appreciation in the world. From the late-night cuddles to the unwavering support, they're always there, cheering us on.

So, let's take a moment to honour these incredible women. Whether it's a heartfelt card, a warm hug, or simply saying "thank you," let's show them just how much they mean to us. After all, they've given us the greatest gift of all—their unconditional love.

But amidst the joy and celebration, let's also remember those who find Mother's Day difficult. To those who have lost their mums, are estranged from them, or yearn to be mothers themselves, we see you, and we're here for you. Your pain is valid, and you are not alone. Let's hold space for each other, offering comfort and understanding.

This Mother's Day, let's celebrate the strength, resilience, and boundless love of all the mums out there. And let's remind each other that no matter what, we're all part of a community where love knows no bounds.

Your Healing Goes Deeper Than Words

Talk therapy works — we know that.
But stress and trauma don’t just live in your thoughts… they live in your body.

I empower people who have experienced stress, anxiety, neurodiversity, and trauma by supporting their Embodied Healing — where real change begins from within. Alongside counselling, this work invites slow, mindful movement and breath to gently release what’s been held for too long, while keeping you fully in control — you never have to talk about anything you don’t want to. Healing can still happen, safely and deeply, by working with the body and reconnecting with your innate wellspring of wisdom.

This isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about listening deeper.

If you’re ready to feel safer, calmer, and more in control of your inner world — your healing starts here.
