🦴 Calcium & Menopause: What You Should Know

During menopause, declining estrogen levels can lead to bone loss. Calcium is key—but how you take it matters. Here's a quick guide:
🦴 Calcium Carbonate – Most common and affordable. Needs to be taken with food for better absorption.
Calcium Citrate – Easier to absorb and doesn’t require food. Great for those who need to take calcium on the go (or leave it in your car)
🌞 Why Vitamin D?
Many calcium supplements include vitamin D because it helps your body absorb calcium more effectively.
🌿 Why Vitamin K?
Vitamin K—especially K2—helps direct calcium into your bones where it's needed. But if you're on blood thinners like warfarin, check with your doctor first.

Supplements like BioCeuticals Advacal Forte combine these nutrients to support bone health during menopause:

(Available in 90 or 180 tablets.)

Or check out these tasty fudge calcium chews at https://hla.au/products/p/bn-fudge-calcium-soft-chews-raspberry (available in berry, pineapple or caramel).

Let’s keep bones strong and conversations going this 💪

🦴 Menopause & Calcium: Are You Getting Enough?
Did you know that 73% of Australian women aren’t getting enough calcium in their diet? That’s a big deal — especially post-menopause, when calcium needs jump to 1300 mg/day to help prevent osteopenia and osteoporosis (aka brittle bones).
Even if you’re taking vitamin D, it won’t help much unless you’re also getting enough calcium from food.
💡 Here’s a quick cheat sheet:
🥛 1 cup milk = 300 mg calcium
🍦 160g yoghurt = 300 mg calcium
🥜 1 handful almonds = 100 mg calcium
That’s 4.3 cups of milk a day to hit the target — or a mix of dairy, nuts, and leafy greens.
Let’s make bone health a priority this Menopause Awareness Month. Your future self will thank you.

🌸 Unlocking Hormonal Harmony: The Power of Myo-Inositol for PCOS

Myo-Inositol is a naturally occurring nutrient making big waves in women’s health - especially for those managing PCOS. Backed by science, it supports insulin sensitivity, restores ovulation, balances hormones, and helps ease symptoms like irregular cycles, acne, and unwanted hair growth.

With modern diets falling short on inositol-rich foods, supplementation offers a gentle, effective, and well-tolerated way to reclaim balance and vitality. Whether taken alone or in a clinically recommended 40:1 blend with D-Chiro-Inositol, it’s a simple, natural step toward hormonal harmony.

✨ Supporting women’s health, naturally - one dose at a time.
