This morning, on my way to work as a community nurse, my GPS led me to an old historical cemetery where graves were buried in the 1920s. As I walked among the gravestones, I couldn't help but reflect on the lives that once were. These graves serve as a stark reminder that there is plenty of time to be dead.

It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life, especially for the young ones who are just starting their journey. But rushing towards death is never the answer. There is so much beauty and potential in living, even in the face of adversity. If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out for help. There are people who care and resources available to support you.

If you can only remember one thing today , Remember to take time to really Breath…..

Taking time to breathe deeply and mindfully can be incredibly grounding and calming. In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to forget to pause and simply breathe. It's a great reminder to take a moment for yourself and find a bit of tranquility amidst the chaos. 🌿

Welcome to my blog! As a dedicated mental health nurse with 24 years of clinical experience, I hold a master's degree in Advanced Practice in Mental Health. Originally from Butuan City Philippines, I moved to Australia 40 years ago. Inspired by my two aunts who were nurses in the Philippines, I decided to pursue nursing at the age of 27 in Australia. Since then, I've been working in mental health and have continued my education with postgraduate studies to further my knowledge.

This blog is inspired by the legacy of Florence Nightingale and my grandmother, Florence, and is dedicated to all those who have experienced mental health issues at some stage in their life. Through education and awareness, I hope to make an impact in removing the stigma attached to mental illness.

Throughout my career, I've worked in government health services. I'm now at a stage where I'm ready to venture out and explore new opportunities. My journey, from starting my nursing studies to working in the field, has been long, with both challenges and rewards. Every experience, whether good, bad, or ugly, has been enriching personally and professionally. I am grateful for them all.

I hope you find this page helpful, no matter what stage of life you are in.
