Some days it only takes half a minute to come back to yourself.

I invite you to listen, turn up the volume 🔊

This is a simple awareness practice I use often: choose one sense, today its our hearing and let it guide you into the present.
What do you hear first?
What fades into the background?
What stands out once you really listen?

A tiny pause like this can settle the body, clear the mind, and help you return to what’s actually here, right now.

With the ever-changing landscape of the NDIS, it can be hard to know what supports are still available.

We’ve noticed some confusion around whether Equine Assisted Psychotherapy can still be accessed through the NDIS, and the good news is, it can.

At Pegasus Holistic Healing, these sessions are delivered by a qualified psychotherapist within a structured, goal-focused framework and can be included in NDIS plans where appropriate.

That’s a wrap on the Townsville Disability Network Expo for today, and what a beautiful day it was.

It was so lovely meeting so many people, from organisations to support coordinators and support workers, and of course the participants who make days like this so meaningful. Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat or grabbed some information about what we offer at Pegasus.

A special shout-out to the wonderful women I had the pleasure of sitting with — Angie & Carli from Aim For The Sky Disability Services behind me, and Rebecca from Elements Exercise Physiology on my other side. Both teams were warm, supportive, and passionate about the work they do, and they made the day flow with ease.

Feeling grateful for the connections, conversations, and community spirit.

It’s been a little quiet on socials, but far from quiet at Pegasus.

Our local high school group has just wrapped up for the year, and I’ve been taking a moment to appreciate what this journey has meant.

A huge thank-you to the teachers and support staff who helped shape this program week after week. Your commitment, your trust, and your willingness to partner with us made space for real shifts in the young people who attended. Watching them grow in confidence, build resilience, and interact with each other in new, supportive ways has been such a privilege.

Seeing the herd respond to them, and seeing the young people respond right back, has been one of the highlights of my year. You can never really know how things play out, but when your curious, the possibilities are endless. My heart feels full.

While this particular School Program has now finished up, Pegasus certainly hasn’t. We’re still busy right through to Christmas.

We don’t have any more group programs running for 2025, but I’ll be sitting down soon to map out what next year might hold.

Will more schools come on board? Will we welcome new groups and new stories into the paddock? Time will tell, and I’m excited to see what unfolds.

Thank you again to everyone involved, it’s been an honour to walk alongside you.

Stage 2 is underway! 🚜
The new driveway is now being formed, and we really appreciate everyone’s patience during the upgrades. We’re excited to see it all come together and create smoother, safer access.

Progress at Pegasus 🐴

Stage 1 of our driveway upgrade is now complete 🙂 the bridge has been relocated and the big fallen tree safely removed to make way for the new layout. There’ll be ongoing works over the coming weekends as we continue the planned changes to access the property.

I’ll still be meeting all clients at the gate as usual, and we’ll navigate the changes together. Thanks for your patience while we make these much-needed and long overdue improvements to keep Pegasus accessable and safe for everyone.
