8 years ago today my beautiful little daughter took her last breath. Although we speak about Rylea a lot at home, in public I don’t speak about her much at all.
She lost her battle with childhood cancer at just 6 years old. She was just 3 when she was diagnosed, and after horrific 15 months of treatment she was in remission.
Unfortunately 18 months later the cancer came back with a vengeance and took her life.
Some probably wondering why I’m posting this? Well the 31st July for me is a very hard day, but after receiving this photo from a large company in Melbourne just now has made today the happiest anniversary in 8 years.
Rylea loved pink donuts and this company in loving memory has shouted their staff pink donuts this morning for morning smoko. The photo I received turned my day from being sad and angry to warm and humbling.

Never take your children for granted. Don’t get caught up on the small stuff, spend as much time with them as you can and always put your kids first because you just never know what’s around the corner ❤️
