🍲 Flashback to our 'Soup & Stories' event at Leawarra House in Frankston – A Heartwarming August Gathering

In August, we hosted a truly special event — a cosy afternoon where our elderly clients from Mark & Sylvie’s Home Care came together to share heartfelt stories, laughs, and life advice over a warm bowl of soup.

This beautiful gathering was all about connection not just with each other, but across generations. Our clients shared memories, wisdom, and powerful recommendations for the younger ones coming up behind them. From practical tips to timeless truths, their words carried so much meaning. 💬💛

📍 Hastings Cove Retirement Village Visit

Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful residents at Hastings Cove Retirement Village to chat about Home Care Packages and how the upcoming Support at Home Program will be rolled out.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share helpful information, answer questions, and support residents in understanding how to access home care and navigate the upcoming changes with confidence.

🎤 A special highlight of the day? The lovely Doreen took to the stage and gave us all an unforgettable performance — what a voice, and what a spirit!

We were also treated to a surprise performance from Lisa’s son and his friends, who got up on stage and sang for everyone their energy and enthusiasm brought smiles to all! 🎶

A big thank you to everyone who joined us we always love connecting with our community!

What a truly joyful morning of community connection we had at our Redcliffe hub! 🎉

We believe health and happiness go hand-in-hand, and nothing beats getting together with our clients, carers, and partners for a bit of fun!

We were delighted to host such a wonderful gathering:

- Huge thanks to Paul from Caring Cuisine for providing a delicious spread that everyone raved about.

- It was great to have Henry from Taking Care Mobile Massage join us to discuss remedial massage, a favourite amongst our elderly clients.

- We also welcomed Verinnia from Maroon Care (NDIS), alongside our lovely clients Melda and Bob (who joked about moving into the office—we wish!), and Shirley from Palm Lakes Resort.

- And of course, thank you to our amazing, dedicated carers Adrian (Ado), Dawn, and Diana for always bringing the energy!

The lucky door prizes were a hit! We love being located right in the heart of the community at the Redcliffe Uniting Community Hub. Come visit us anytime!

The sun was shining, the tea was hot, and the connections were flowing! ☀️

Our incredible Bargara team had such a delightful time hosting our clients for the 'Social Morning Tea' at the beautiful Bundaberg Botanical Gardens!

At Mark and Sylvie’s, we believe in supporting a vibrant life, which means making sure everyone can join the fun. That’s why we arranged all the pick-ups and drop-offs for clients who no longer drive—getting you there is half the joy! 🚗

It was a perfect chance for the team to collect valuable feedback and, even better, for our clients to meet up and make new friends. We spotted lots of smiles (and even a few phone numbers being exchanged with the paper and pens we supplied!). 📝

Thank you to everyone who came along and shared their morning with us. Moments like these are what true community care is all about!
