How Will You Benefit from Support at Home?

Starting November 1st*, the Home Care Package (HCP) program will transition to the new Support at Home (SAH) program, which brings several enhancements.

One of the key changes is the introduction of a new funding model. Instead of the current 4 levels under HCP, Support at Home will offer 8 funding classifications. This shift means that many participants could receive up to $16,000 more in funding compared to their current package - giving participants greater flexibility and support tailored to their needs.

The Australian Government has recently announced the deferral of commencement of the new Aged Care Act and Support at Home program to 1 November 2025.

Meet Penny & Sue 👋

Penny is a lifelong dog lover who has adored labradors since childhood - even breeding litters to support Guide Dogs Victoria.

She shares a beautiful bond with Sue, a carer from Prestige Inhome Care, who describes the role as incredibly fulfilling.

The two enjoy going for walks, sharing coffees, and having plenty of laughs. Sue’s support also gives Penny’s husband, Graeme, time to rest, knowing Penny is in good hands.
