That stat says a lot... and the Melbourne City Powerchair team shared why.⁠

Barriers like cost, transport, access, and confidence can hold people back. But with the right support, the game changes. ⚡⁠

players, Luke and told us how their OnSide Support Coordinators helped them get funding for a Strike Force chair — a specialised powerchair built for the sport. That support, plus a little encouragement from family, helped them discover something they didn’t expect to love.⁠

A senior, much-loved, and long-standing member of our team, Leigh brings years of experience and heart to everything he does. With a background as a critical care nurse and many years as a Support Worker, Leigh has seen the power of choice, control, and independence in action.⁠

In his role, he supports participants to thrive, achieve their goals, and navigate the NDIS with confidence—while also empowering families and support networks.⁠
