What is Wing Chun Ling Tung Gong?
Wing Chun Ling Tung Gong is a specialised method of Qigong/Neigong within the Wing Chun system. Its purpose is to harmonise Qi, nourish the organs, calm the mind, and strengthen the body from within. Unlike conventional exercise, it also works at the energetic level — reversing the effects of modern lifestyle diseases, supporting immunity, and promoting longevity.
The art is based on 36 Gong forms, which balance Yin and Yang. Some are slow and restorative, circulating Qi and calming the spirit. Others are dynamic and explosive, building martial power and structural resilience. Together, they form a complete system that unites health and combat effectiveness.
The name itself carries deep cultural meaning. 靈 (Ling) represents spirit, effectiveness, and alertness — composed of rain (natural forces), three mouths (shared benefit), and the witch character (suggesting that only the dedicated can truly use these forces). 通 (Tung) represents a path — to connect, to lead through, to know well. Together, they mean fast, effective, and abundant. In practice, they describe a natural, effective method of training that leads to health, martial skill, and spiritual connection with the Tao.
