World Prematurity Day is dedicated to raising awareness of preterm births around the world and to advocate for quality care for every baby who is born too soon. 💜

Each year, over 26,000 babies are born prematurely in Australia.

In Queensland's Logan region, the Benevolent team at Brown Plains Early Years Centre provides vital support to parents and families with babies born prematurely. The team also hold a Premmies Play & Learn Together Group to provide a space for parents and their preemie babies.

To mark World Prematurity Day, the Benevolent Premmies Play & Learn Together team will be part of Logan Library's First 5 Forever session at Kingston Butter Factory which Child and Family Practitioner Samara Williams says is crucial for local communities.

"Having events like this ensures people are aware of the support available and can provide essential resources for families in the area on similar journeys". She said.
