We are proud to partner with Kalyra and Action Learning Institute to pilot a workplace-based training model for Certificate III in Individual Support.

This week, the first Help at Home HSW cohort began their journey with Skills SA-funded training, combining real workplace experience with supported learning.

The program features:

✔️ On the job evidence collection
✔️ Person-centred projects
✔️ Set meetings
✔️ Workplace observations & mentoring

We’re excited to support learners in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

This NAIDOC week, we honour the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledge the ongoing contributions they make across every part of our community, including health and aged care.

At ANMEC, we’re proud to support the next generation of First Nations nurses and midwives who bring cultural knowledge, strength and compassion to their work.

Stephanie, an ANMEC student and proud Aboriginal woman, is studying to become a nurse so she can give back to her community and help close the health gap.

"I want to be a voice for my people and make sure our care is culturally safe and respectful."

Her story is one of many — and this week, we reflect, respect and celebrate them all.

Every day in Australia, 400 people of all ages die of a terminal illness and while every one of them could benefit from palliative care, too many people still miss out.

National Palliative Care Week aims to encourage all Australians to make a plan with loved ones that empowers and respects their choices when approaching end of life.

ANMEC extends our heartfelt thanks to the incredible palliative care nurses who bring comfort, dignity, and compassion to patients and families every day to provide care that enriches patients' final days.

During his visit, Matt toured the ANMEC facilities and engaged in meaningful conversations about the challenges facing RTOs.

ANMEC was proud to host HumanAbility this week to interview and film the incredible Stephanie Hernandez, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year 2024! 🏆 Steph completed here studies here at ANMEC and she is now working as an Enrolled Nurse in the Flinders Medical Centre Neuro/Stroke Ward. She shared her inspiring journey, career pathways and what it’s like working in the nursing profession.

It was great to host Nat Cook MP, State Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well and Minister for Human Services), on site at Ridleyton last week. We are always happy to show off our purpose-built training facility, where students can make the most of up-to-date technology and clinical training opportunities.
Students enjoyed meeting Minister Cook and were thankful of her support.

Meet Wren, a Cert III in Individual Support student here at ANMEC👋

Wren joined ANMEC to step out of her comfort zone and start the journey towards becoming a nurse.

With amazing new friends, a super supportive educator (shoutout to Brett), and a safe, encouraging space to learn, Wren has truly thrived. Placement was a highlight, and now Wren’s hard work has paid off with a job offer at The Lodge, Eldercare.
