Enhanced Lifestyles

Enhanced Lifestyles Disability support the way it should be. By you, for you. Adelaide, Riverland and Limestone Coast.

Over thirty years ago, a group of people living with disability realised that no one was better equipped to choose the kind of support they needed than themselves. Honing their knowledge and skills, together they became architects and builders of their own individualised disability services. Today, Enhanced Lifestyles remains a member-governed not-for-profit, our Board is comprised of people who use our services. By designing support services based on lived experience, we deliver the services people want to live life the way they choose.

🥈Silver at Nationals for Louise!

Enhanced Lifestyles Deputy Chair, Louise recently competed at the Australian Institute of Sport in the 2025 Boccia Australia National Titles, and she came away with a silver medal. What a fantastic result for Louise and her South Australian team mates Will and Michael, and coaches Will and Liam!

Louise acknowledges that attending the National Titles would not have happened without the help and support of many people along the way. Louise would like to thank her coach Liam, and the Boccia South Australia team, her Uncle John, Mum Von Braybon, sister Emily, brother-in-law Rob, niece Lucy and nephew Edward. She would also like to thank her friends, as well as her Occupational Therapists Jacqui and Steven, and the care agencies in Bendigo and Canberra for their support. Lastly, Louise would like to thank the staff at Enhanced Lifestyles - Heidi, Tianna, Muhammad, Jane, Christie, Bek, the Enhanced Lifestyles Board and Lifestyle Attendant Sarah.

Louise would also like to give a shout out to Bros Mobility Services (https://www.brosmobilityservices.com.au/) who have made a van available for hire so that Louise can make it to Boccia training and local competitions on a weekly basis.

Silver at Nationals is a massive accomplishment for Louise, especially given she only began her Boccia journey in April of this year.

"It was my first Nationals ever, and the whole experience was really good".

What's next? Louise has her eye on several Boccia events around the country in 2026 including a competition in Melbourne, the South Australian titles, and National titles once again. She's also on the lookout for any grants that might be available to take her Boccia career to the next level.

Congratulations Louise! We are so thrilled for you and wish you continued success in your sporting endeavours - may your hard work and dedication bring great results!

🍽️☕ Lifestyle Lunch at the Woodville Hotel.

Our most recent customer event was held at the Woodville Hotel —and it was a lovely, relaxed lunch filled with great connection and conversation.

Here’s what some of our customers had to say:
💬 “I would recommend Enhanced Lifestyles events to other customers because they are good for mixing with others and social interaction.”
💬 “The variety of locations that Enhanced Lifestyles hold their customer events at is good. It's also nice to catch up with people I see a handful of times per year.”
💬 “I enjoy talking to everybody, a lovely time together meeting each other and new people.”
💬 “Everybody has a chance to get together. Without these events, we wouldn't have a chance to see each other.”

Thank you to everyone who attended. It’s these moments of connection that make a lasting impact.

👉 Stay tuned for more customer events coming up soon - check our Events page for details: https://enhancedlifestyles.com.au/supporting-our-community/

Last Friday night, we attended the Australian Film Diversity and Inclusion Foundation Film Festival as a sponsor and celebrated creativity, diversity, and inclusion. This year’s program featured films showcasing the work of people with disability both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, alongside works highlighting experiences of mental health and First Nations communities.

It was a great night, with a fabulous vibe and some inspiring stories. We are proud to sponsor the AFDIF who gives a voice to people with disability, CALD and minority groups and provides an opportunity for people to share their stories on the silver screen.

Congratulations to all the winners and to Yogi and AFDIF for such a successful and heart warming night.

To see more photos from the night and read about the award winners, visit the AFDIF website: https://afdif.org.au/

Today is International Day of Sign Languages

The 2025 United Nations theme is: No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights

All people have an inherent right to human rights from birth. For deaf people, sign language rights are fundamental for the full enjoyment of their human rights. As we mark the Day we recognise the progress made and the challenges that remain in ensuring equality for all.

In Focus: Ruth's Story

Ruth’s passion for capturing moments with her camera has always existed, but her recent success at the Gawler Show didn’t happen overnight. Years of honing her photography and editing skills, a Great Grandfather who had a love for early photography, and a cheerleader in the form of an Enhanced Lifestyles psychosocial recovery coach, Hayley, have all contributed to her many accomplishments in the photography space.
