🥈Silver at Nationals for Louise!
Enhanced Lifestyles Deputy Chair, Louise recently competed at the Australian Institute of Sport in the 2025 Boccia Australia National Titles, and she came away with a silver medal. What a fantastic result for Louise and her South Australian team mates Will and Michael, and coaches Will and Liam!
Louise acknowledges that attending the National Titles would not have happened without the help and support of many people along the way. Louise would like to thank her coach Liam, and the Boccia South Australia team, her Uncle John, Mum Von Braybon, sister Emily, brother-in-law Rob, niece Lucy and nephew Edward. She would also like to thank her friends, as well as her Occupational Therapists Jacqui and Steven, and the care agencies in Bendigo and Canberra for their support. Lastly, Louise would like to thank the staff at Enhanced Lifestyles - Heidi, Tianna, Muhammad, Jane, Christie, Bek, the Enhanced Lifestyles Board and Lifestyle Attendant Sarah.
Louise would also like to give a shout out to Bros Mobility Services (https://www.brosmobilityservices.com.au/) who have made a van available for hire so that Louise can make it to Boccia training and local competitions on a weekly basis.
Silver at Nationals is a massive accomplishment for Louise, especially given she only began her Boccia journey in April of this year.
"It was my first Nationals ever, and the whole experience was really good".
What's next? Louise has her eye on several Boccia events around the country in 2026 including a competition in Melbourne, the South Australian titles, and National titles once again. She's also on the lookout for any grants that might be available to take her Boccia career to the next level.
Congratulations Louise! We are so thrilled for you and wish you continued success in your sporting endeavours - may your hard work and dedication bring great results!
