Reign Absolute: Umbrous Edition is a micro-size version of the flagship Reign Absolute experience, featuring illustrations from the studio's artists. The stylized artwork of Umbrous Edition brings the game to life with a bold black-and-white style. A subtle touch of color adds depth, helping each card stand out while maintaining clarity despite their compact size.

Bringing Neil the Seal to life for When Tasmania Happens campaign meant seamlessly blending CGI with the real world. A 3D-printed on-set eyeline reference helped integrate Neil into the scene, while back in the studio, realistic textures, fur simulation, and careful compositing brought him to life. Big thanks to The 20 for having us on board for this exciting project!

Today the breathtaking new ship simulator launches at the Bass Strait Maritime Centre! It was brilliant to work with Adrian at 808 Solutions and the team from the Devonport City Council to produce this amazing virtual sailing spectacle. Meet Bob Goldfish, a loveable spokesfish that is all about TasWater literacy messaging - one of our favourite recent animation projects. While maintaining an ultra-photorealistic character model was crucial, the big win with Bob’s design was in his ability to talk and perform emotive gestures - combining realistic core visuals with a lively disposition and personality that added some cheeky flair to the project’s messaging! Fantastic as always to work with The20 on this one.

Who is the team behind AWF?

Meet our lead artist and animator, Aldrich.

A member of the team since 2005, Aldrich has plied his fantastic animation and artistic talents to hundreds of commercial and internal projects across the spectrum of digital media.

Unofficially, Aldrich holds the title of chief “vibes” guy in the office. With a disposition to match his taste in music (tropical house 🏝), no task can faze the unfazeable. Equally lethal with pen in hand as with a playstation controller, Aldrich loves to game on the weekend when he’s able to find time around his laudable social life - his cross to bear for being too damn charming.

The solstice is upon us once again and we can happily say that we’ve almost made it through the darkest day of the year.

Winter is no time of hibernation for us though (although the fans in our rendering computers do enjoy the reprieve of the colder months) - digital production is an all-seasons enterprise, and no matter the time of year you can find us in our office smashing away at some awesome and innovative creations. We can’t wait to see what the back half of 2024 brings!

This wicked fusion of a product promotion and anti-bullying campaign was produced along with the awesome Collier Creative. AWF provided end-to-end production services to create this epic animated TVC, where a heroic Sumo Citrus stops two “Mean Cookies” in their tracks as they chase some innocent limes down a supermarket aisle.

To give our fruits some character, they were designed with a stylised anthropomorphic treatment - culminating in a fantastical world of living fruit and produce.

That Friday feeling!

Turning someone into a cloud of confetti required some creative approaches to both on-set filming and post-production special effects work - but the end result helped this TVC go off with a bang! 🎉

Some awesome 3D animated goodness here - to promote the Sydney Royal Easter Show, we designed and developed five lively characters that each represented one of the human senses. The excitable little guys were then combined with live action footage as they frolicked in the festivities of the event, resulting in an adorable and eye-catching TVC!
