80 days to Rotterdam 🏑

No work. No school. Just life on the grid with my kids last week.

Physio. Walks. Bike rides (solo + with the kids). Dog miles. Interval session. Gym. A trip to the shot tower, MONA and Derby. And a big Sunday of hockey.

Tired tonight but the body is feeling good.

Back to work tomorrow—so now the real challenge: finding rhythm again. Gym. Hockey. Recovery. Life. Nutrition. Repeat.

Not perfect. Just consistent.

Let’s go 💪🏼

First week of school holidays = juggling work + training… all on the grid with some unreal weather ☀️

Less than 3 months until Rotterdam, and I’m really starting to accept that the “perfect training week” doesn’t exist 🙈

At 45, with four kids, a business, and a household to run, no two days (or weeks) ever look the same—no matter how much I try to lock in a routine.

Right now, training looks a bit like this:
• 2–3 strength sessions
• 1 interval run
• 1 turf session
• 1–2 games
• (Almost) daily dog walks… sometimes turning into a jog
• 1 bike ride
I’ve tried to structure it, but honestly—energy, fueling, and recovery seem to call the shots week to week.

Lining up with a GP and physio this week to see if there’s a smarter, more sustainable way to approach it. I’ll keep you posted.

Navigating midlife (still not a fan of that word—I swear I’m 30 most days) is a bit of a puzzle.

Looking forward to slowing it down next week and spending some proper time with the kids ✨

Ready to feel like YOU again?

MumSTRONG is your first step back to exercise after having a baby—whether that was 6 weeks, 6 months, or 6 years ago✨

It’s tempting to jump straight back into a regular gym class… but rebuilding a strong foundation first is what truly sets you up for long-term strength, confidence, and injury-free progress.

MumSTRONG is designed to help you:
✨ Reconnect with your core & pelvic floor
✨ Build strength safely and progressively
✨ Feel confident, capable, and supported in your body again

This is the perfect starting point for any mum ready to move again—without pressure, confusion, or overwhelm.

Week on the grid felt a bit meh 😬

Trying to stay strong for Rotterdam, but routine is all over the place (was I ever in one? 🤷‍♀️).

Training recap 👇
Sat: Hockey
Sun: Kieser + cold dog walk (no ride 🌧️)
Mon: Rest/rehab + tweaked my back at work 😤
Tue: Skipped intervals, but 6km jog/walk with a friend
Wed: Strength + rehab Hype Gym
Thu: Nothing (probably drank some tea ☕️) 😂
Fri: Kieser

Back issues have been a long game, but I’m choosing to stay positive and stay consistent with rehab 💪

It’s also why I’m so passionate about helping my clients build strength and address pain early.

Tomorrow’s a new day (and the beginning of school holidays) — let’s go 🔥

My week on the grid. 100 days to Rotterdam and definitely not a “perfect” one.

Energy was all over the place (GP visit booked to chat possible perimenopause).
✔️ Big Easter Sunday ride
✔️ Hockey ball bruise update 😬✔️ Walks with Maisy 🐕
✔️ Gym… then couldn’t walk for days 😳
✔️ A little professional development too
✔️ Attempted a “flush out” run before hockey training

Hoping next week feels smoother—but with four kids and a body that doesn’t always cooperate… we’ll see.

Still showing up, still trying.

Your Tuesday reminder that some days don’t go to plan and that’s ok.

Usually I start my Tuesday with a 6am, 5km interval run and finish the day with hockey training but not today.

Today I woke up tired and lethargic. I was so grumpy that I diagnosed myself with SAD (seasonal affective disorder) - which I’m sure that I do have but it’s a bit early to be blaming the weather for my attitude 😂

Things improved as the day went on and I told myself that I’d get to the gym instead. Well the gym got swapped out for a 2km dog walk due to kid sport logistics.

Monday I didn’t do any structured exercise either - and that’s life really. I could beat myself up about it or I could move on.

Tomorrow is a new day. Let’s see what it has in store ✨
