BAM 💥 AND JUST LIKE THAT MUMSTRONG TERM 2 (TUESDAY GROUP) IS COMPLETE!
These amazing women (missing Zia, Kate and Mel) have spent the past 8 weeks building confidence, strength, and a deeper connection to their bodies. 💪🏽

They have learnt how to reconnect from the inside out — understanding the power of the breath, body alignment, and moving with intention.

They have gained skills to lift safely, move well, and trust their bodies again — and to adapt on the tough days.

We’ve seen incredible progress in strength, mindset, and energy — and most importantly, a powerful sense of community and support.

Term 3 registrations are now open!
Let’s keep the momentum going. 💥
📍Spots are limited. Head to www.strongwomen.com.au to secure your place or email hellow@strongwomen.com.au

MumSTRONG - Bridging the gap between having a baby and returning to the gym, running, sport, or simply feeling strong and capable to tackle daily life. 🙌

📣 To the woman who's ever felt like giving up on the things she loves...

Life gets loud.
Kids need you.
Injuries slow you down.
Sickness and hormones drain your spark.
And sometimes, it all feels too hard and giving up seems like the only option.

But here’s the truth — life is messy, and these feelings are real and valid - and all part of the process.

Maybe it’s the relentless cycle of family sickness throwing off your gym routine?
Maybe it’s an injury that keeps lingering?
Maybe it’s emotional or mental load, or the weight of work and life commitments?

Remember:

- It’s not selfish to make space for your joy.
- It’s not indulgent to prioritise your health.
- It’s not impossible to start again, even if you’ve paused a hundred times (I hear you)!

Because the things you love aren’t extras — they’re anchors. They remind you of who you are, outside of the roles you play and are pivotal in helping you get back on track.

So when life tries to derail you — pause, reset, and gently come back, again and again.

You're worth it. Always. I say this from first-hand experience 💛

Saturday Shout-Out to Our Fit Over 45 Crew! 🌱💪🏼

This incredible group just keeps growing — and for good reason!

They are the epitome of bravery, support, and a can-do attitude.

Many had never stepped foot in a gym before, or had such a negative experience they never went back. But here they are — showing up, moving their bodies with intention, building strength, and rewriting the story.

We all know the power of strength training:
✅ Better bone health
✅ Improved cardiovascular fitness
✅ Stronger muscles for fall prevention
✅ Boosted mood and energy
✅ And let’s not forget — the social connection!

I absolutely love this crew — dodgy knees, dicky hips and all. I get travel inspo from their holiday stories every week.

Fit Over 45 classes run every Monday and Friday at 10:40am📍 Lindisfarne Rowing Club
New faces are always welcome!

Long overdue getaway✨

Loving being tourists in our backyard 🍂

I was fortunate to visit Cradle Mountain multiple times as a kid but it’s always been tricky finding suitable accommodation for a family of six. It’s taken us 20 years (our eldest turns 21 this year), to share this beautiful place with the kids but better late than never 👏🏼

Last night we enjoyed a Night Tour - searching for native animals. So lucky to see two spotted quolls and lots of wombats ☺️

This morning, I ran 17km between our cabin and Ronny Creek and return with my hubby. Which now I think of it, is the furthest I’ve run since beginning my “running” journey mid last year!! Funny what can be achieved when we don’t overthink things 🙃

This afternoon we headed into Cradle Mountain as a family and completed the Dove Lake Circuit.

We ended our day with some well earnt hot chips, a drink and a few games of pool 🎱

The West Coast of Tassie is next on our list ⛰️

🌟 Mum-Focused and Peri-Menopausal Fitness is Booming… But Let’s Talk About the Why Behind the Work 🌟

The rise in Mum-focused and 40+ female exercise programs is incredible — it’s empowering, it’s necessary, and it’s long overdue. But with this rise comes a huge responsibility.

👉 Not all trainers are created equal
👉 A gym with a crèche, area for kids or “mums & bubs” program does not automatically make them suited to mothers.
👉 Likewise, just because a female trainer becomes a mum or starts experiencing peri-menopausal systems - does not make them an expert in these areas.

To become a Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor, it actually requires very minimal certification. Once qualified, you can pretty much train anyone — pregnant women, postnatal recovery, teenagers, perimenopausal women, even rehab clients — all with just a basic Certificate III & IV in Fitness. There is no regulatory body controlling this.

Frankly? That’s terrifying!

That’s why I’ve made it my mission to go beyond the basics. I’m constantly up-skilling, studying, and learning from allied health professionals. Because when it comes to your body, your hormones, your healing and your strength — you deserve more than a cookie-cutter plan.

So next time you see a flashy post like:
💥 Wanted 10 mums to feel strong and boost energy!
💥 Crèche for your little ones
💥 5 best exercises to do in Peri Menopause

Ask yourself:
🔍 What real women’s specific qualifications do these trainers have?
🔍 Do they really understand the intricacy of women’s health? Prolapse, leaking, hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, abdominal separation and night sweats, just to name a few)
🔍 Do they work with a team – GPs, Physios, Women’s Health specialists?

Because the truth is — Women’s Health is complex. And we’re only just beginning to understand it.

💪 You deserve a trainer who treats your health with the professionalism it requires.
🧠 Knowledge matters. Collaboration matters. YOU matter.

Women deserve more 🫶🏻

Family, Friends, Fun, Fitness + Food!

My name is Sarah and I love living in Tasmania. I am a mum to four children and wife to an amazing man that knows the way to my heart is through my stomach. He’s a true keeper!

After having my forth child and returning to exercise myself, it became obvious to me the lack of specialised and qualified women's fitness trainers. I saw this as an opportunity to help not only mums but women in general to understand their bodies better, feel good about themselves and to safely return to exercise.

MY GOAL:

I want to help women to feel strong! I want to help women find ways to prioritise their own health + wellbeing.
