Restorative and Trauma Informed Yoga
We have a look into how to exist in and with self awareness
Sometimes it can be challenging to check in with how are, to bring an awareness to our self, just as we are directly experiencing. Sometimes intense emotions, thoughts and physical pain can be there. So sometimes we may have the capacity just to bravely dip our tops into noticing what is present.
In self awareness we have choice, we have choice to what degree we would like to stay with something, we can cultivate the ability to shift our focus when something feels too much to be with, and also at times we may choose to compassionately stay with uncomfortable experiences so we are not trapped by them and instead have understanding for them. We can go gently into the more challenging spaces of our minds, bodies, and emotions, and via doing this we release the intensity of the trauma that can get trapped physically, mentally and emotionally, through compassionate present understanding.
