Plumb Bob Of Death n Coffee!

It was great to see so many old and current Youngsters, plus family, come by Pedal Bite Coffee today for our Little Jim Gym event!

Pics and video to come but I wanted to quickly thank Lynne and Russell at Pedal Bites for offering their venue for today plus all those who took time out of their day to stop by, meet n chat with other Youngsters and have a try at our suitably oddball and unique grip strength game, The Plumb Bob of Death.

Slim Jim kept an eye on proceedings and ultimately gave a boney thumbs up.

A suitably New Year's Day chill and fun way to kick off 2026!

Also, congrats to Scott Breward and James Weller for a tie on the heaviest weight lifted!.
Ultimately, the invaluable prize with a lift of 31.125kg both left and right hands went to Scott.

Also, congrats to Scott for beginning his brand new Summer Bodybuilding routine 2 hours later after I exhausted his forearms extensors....my bad 😛

#1 Health Insurance?? - NOT what you think!

Do you have health insurance? No no, you misunderstand.

I don't mean Health "Cover", such as Bupa, St Luke's etc. Cover when things go wrong, but a strategy in place to help insure yourself against illness/injury/atrophy?!

Well if you're reading this, in our BYFC Strong Room, then you DO have insurance!

Otherwise known as Strength Training.

SUCCESS AND RESILIENCE FOR XMAS

Huge congrats to David for finishing his block of Spring Lifting at 110% of maximums!

Dave achieved Personal Bests on HUGE movements such as the full range Viking Press, after having performed this lift over many years and STILL achieving a mammoth 10% improvement!

Time to change gears for the Summer Period (Seasonally, it's called Summer, weather wise it's called a tragedy!).

From a Coaching perspective, it is ENORMOUSLY satisfying to witness such outcomes! NONE of Dave's achievements happened by accident. It's a relentless, consistent, gradual and unstoppable push forward session after session.

It's not glamorous but it works and it's sustainable.

Being strong and resilient is within reach of everyone here....one percent at a time :)

The Joker pranks Little Jim Gym?!

The craziness continues at LJG with the break in by none other than the Joker!

Incredible scenes as the Joker plays merry hell with Slim Jim's treasure hunt, clues and keys.

I hope everyone picks up on the shennanigans and sees and opportunity to jump the Clue Queue.

Watch closely as the NEW location of a key is insidiously given away by the infamous Joker!

PS: Slim Jim is rattled and a little sheepish after his advance was rejected. Even the undead have a heart :P

Little Jim meets Little Ziggy

Ziggy brought his master, Kersten, along today to sniff out some clues in the Slim Jim Treasure Hunt.

They managed to find the first 3 clues and now up to Clue 4.

Team Ziggy is formidable challenger for the treasure 🦮💪

HALLOWEEN, SLIM JIM'S TREASURE HUNT, ZOMBIES!!

What he hell is happening at Little Jim Gym?

Hell being the operative word! Well, there is currently a 2 week hunt going on for Slim Jim's Treasure Chest key!

The gym has been turned into a clue ridden, horror show with a Treasure Chest suspended from the ceiling and members wondering WTF is going on.....Halloween shenanigans and simple fun really, simple as that!

Fitness is so f%$king boring typically, but not at Little Jim Gym!

Check out Slim Jim deadlifting to death next time you go past LJG off New Town main road. He holds a 1000 pounds in weight, I wonder how much he holds in his suspended treasure chest?!
