From a simple campfire singalong in 2005 to the Festival of Voices’ flagship event, The Big sing has become a cherished tradition, and in 2025, we celebrate its 20th anniversary!

Join us on Friday 27 June to kick off the Festival with an unforgettable evening of music and togetherness. Set against the vibrant atmosphere of Tasmania in winter, The Big Sing welcomes everyone to come together for our largest annual singalong. From seasoned performers to first-time singers, this a night where all voices unite.

This free, family-friendly event starts at 5.00pm, so rug up, grab a bite from local food vendors, enjoy a drink, and get ready to sing along to a mix of songs led by outstanding local and interstate artists. No tickets or bookings needed.

The Big Sing is a heartwarming celebration of community, music, and joy. So, help us mark 20 incredible years of the Festival of Voices by being part of this special night. We can’t wait to sing with you!
