Healthy Tasmania

4. b.

The Minister for Health has launched the Healthy Tasmania Five Year Strategic Plan in July 2016 to give Tasmanians and their communities the information and tools they need to make positive and healthy changes to their lives. Getting a good start to life in developing healthy habits early is critical for a healthy adulthood and healthy ageing. Keeping ourselves healthier for longer and managing ou

r risk of chronic disease is an integral part of living happy, productive and fulfilled lives. The plan aims to help people become more aware, interested, engaged and more in control of their own health and wellbeing. It fosters community connectedness by bringing people together to support each other toward better health. TERMS OF USE

🌟 Feeling great should be a part of everyday life – let’s make it happen! We all deserve to live our best lives – healthy, happy, and ready to take on life’s best moments.

The 20-Year Preventive Health Strategy is being developed now to make this a reality for all Tasmanians.

Why does this matter? Because good health isn’t just about feeling ‘not sick’, it’s about feeling strong, happy, and able to do the things that matter.

🤔 Did you know? Over 70% of our health happens outside the health system, starting in our schools, local businesses, parks, and communities. The environments we live, work, and play in really impact our health.

We want to hear from YOU!
Regional forums are coming soon, and we want your thoughts on what makes life good in your community. What’s working? What could be better?

When you speak up, you help make sure the things that matter most get noticed and acted on.

Your health, your future, your say. Help us build a future where feeling great is part of everyday life!
