Concentration faces were on today as the Wednesday staff got together for the Allcare Journal Club 📝

Every couple of months, a practitioner presents to the group a new article within our scope of practice, to analyse quality and discuss implications. Such a great way to stay evidence based and have an in-depth conversation that goes in all sorts of directions 😃

The article of the day? One about adolescent athletes and low back bones stress.

Title: "Immediate physical therapy is beneficial for adolescent athletes with active lumbar spondylolysis: a multicentre randomised trial."
Authors: Selhorst M, Sweeney E, Martin LC, et al. Journal: British Journal of Sports Medicine
Published Online First: 15 December 2025.

What a fabulous morning at the Cadbury Marathon where some of the Allcare crew supported the runners at the finish line 🏃‍♀️👍

So many PBs (the bell was on fire yesterday!) and so many happy faces across the marathon, half, 10km, 5km, and 1km 🎉

Congratulations to all the runners and a recognition to the supporters, organisers and other volunteers that made the event happen. Hope there's some recovery factored in this week for those epic runners 😀❤️

Our Physio, Chrissy Tadros, is presenting to Judo coaches on women across the lifespan including injuries, female health and considerations for adolescents and perimenopause/menopause women in an upcoming webinar.

Great to see clubs like Seishin Martial Arts providing the education to support coaches in this space ❤️

The running season has begun! (But, actually, does it ever stop?!) 😍

Our physio, Noah Donnelly, has been enjoying his Running Repairs course by Tom Goom to learn more on all things running. A timely course with the Cadbury Marathon set for this Sunday the 11th of Jan.

🏃‍♀️ Allcare will be sponsoring the event and you will see many of the clinicians at the finish line supporting those that compete. Hopefully it has been a smooth journey to the start line but for any running related niggles, feel free to touch base with one of our physios in clinic.

🎉 All the best to those running at any of the Cadury's event this Sunday!
