Today, 3rd March, Is World Hearing Day, and this year's theme is 'Ear and hearing care for all! Let’s make it a reality'.
How lucky was I to be at the Australasian Newborn Hearing Screening Conference in Hobart.
Even better, one of the young people that I work with did a welcome speech.
Well done JPK, you were magnificent 🙌🙌🙌

Congratulations to Patrick Cripps on winning the 2023 AFL Brownlow medal, and for recognising the assistance he received from a speech pathologist in relation to executing his media duties as captain.

Asked about a time when he refused to do media, Patrick confirmed that he had told his club “I can’t be put in front of the cameras.” As a result, the club recommended he see a speech pathologist.

As Patrick Cripps acknowledged, “I couldn’t string two words help together in front of the media. That’s not a lie. End of 2015, start of 2016, I was that nervous, it was probably lucky we didn’t play well during that time.”

Well done, Patrick Cripps.
