๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ ๐ ๐๐ง๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฃ๐ฆ๐งฉ Did you know, every massage I do is even & symmetrical? The body works in swings and roundabouts, everything is interconnected, what happens in one limb also affects the other side. If one shoulder is injured, it sets off a chain of events, that also affects the c-spine, rotator cuff, chest, thoracic, ribcage and opposite shoulder.
Similar with the pelvic girdle, acetabulofemoral joint, sacrum and lumbar - important to treat both sides, left & right, anterior and posterior.
Same again with knees, elbows, and ankles! Iโll always treat both sides, not only the affected limb. This also provides important theoretical data for assessment too, a way to calibrate changes in tissue, and monitor progress over time.
Having a holistic global view, means youโll walk out feeling fabulous every time, instead of lopsided! ๐โจ
Thoughts? Have you ever had a one-sided massage? How did you feel afterwards?
