✨ Welcoming new clients to The Aesthetic Laser Centre in Hobart ✨

Hi, I’m Shannon – the owner of The Aesthetic Laser Centre, nestled in the beautiful Salamanca, Battery Point.

My journey into nursing started straight after high school when I completed my Diploma of Nursing. I then went on to study my Bachelor of Nursing in Melbourne, simply because I’ve always loved caring for others. Over the years, I worked across acute care, paediatrics, orthopaedics and plastics – but it was the plastics space that really opened my eyes to the world of aesthetics.

Eager to learn more, I studied a Diploma of Beauty Therapy in my spare time while continuing to work as a nurse. After that, I took some time for myself and travelled solo overseas for nine months – an experience that helped me grow in independence, resilience and confidence.

When I returned to Australia with my partner, we made the move to Tasmania, where I was lucky enough to start working at The Aesthetic Laser Centre. Over the years, I worked alongside some incredible doctors, pharmacists and nurses, and after managing the clinic for six years, I was given the amazing opportunity to take over ownership. It’s been fulfilling, challenging, and an incredible learning curve stepping into the world of business.

I’m also a proud mum to two beautiful boys, and while I’m still learning how to juggle it all, I’ve come to appreciate the beautiful chaos that life can be. Becoming a business owner while breastfeeding a newborn and navigating everything for the first time wasn’t easy — especially during the intense and demanding process of gaining Day Procedure Centre accreditation through the Department of Health here in Tasmania. I handled the entire process on my own, and it’s one of my proudest achievements

Most recently, I completed my Advanced Diploma of Dermatology Nursing, and I’m more passionate than ever about skin and aesthetic care.

I look forward to meeting new clients in my clinic and can’t wait to support you on your journey to feeling fabulous in your own skin!
