Life has been super crazy for our family.

Whilst my brothers were winning premierships we also welcomed a new little addition to our family ❤️

Nine days ago I was honoured to be by Charlie & Caleb’s side when my beautiful first grandchild was born.

Seeing my baby bring her baby into the world was nothing short of amazing. I have so much love and admiration for you both. You are the best Mum & Dad and little Riley is so lucky to have you there to love & guide her through life.

For me being a Grandma (I’m actually going to be called Min) fills my heart with so much joy it is bursting with love for you! Little Riley you are just so scrumptious 🥰

So happy we had that glass of wine babe! 🤗 - we built our dream Anne-Maree Fagan - and we did a bloody amazing job of it - the last 15 years have been the most challenging, crazy, rewarding and more importantly the happiest work years in my career and I will cherish all the time we had together. To all the incredible mummas I met who taught me as much as we taught them (you know who you are 😁) our beautiful team of amazing midwives, admins and doctors who are now scattered across different work sites, but I know are doing their usual, incredible, job of caring for mums and bubs, THANK YOU for all your love and friendship over the past decade and more. I am sad to be leaving our practice, but also excited to be working in and developing a new position within CHaPS - I have accepted a Clinical Nurse Specialist role in infant feeding and staff education, I will be positioned at the Parenting Centre in New Town. To my amazing, incredible, strong, brave, fearless partner of 15 years, Anne-Maree Fagan thank you

What started as a thought over a glass of wine has taken us on our 15 year journey together! Our dream was to be able to provide excellence in lactation care & infant feeding support for mothers and babies during their hospital stay and continue this on through the postnatal period! We were frustrated that there was never enough time as midwives to spend time supporting the new mums on the maternity ward. What we have been able to create together has been nothing short of amazing and I want to thank you Lou for being the best business partner and friend. We have learnt together and faced many challenges and I could not be prouder of us! | wish you all the happiness in the world and all the best in your new opportunity moving forward. We often joke we are like an old married couple! Its been a pleasure and I'm going to miss you ❤️

Hi Everyone, Lou and I are announcing today that as of the 17th September 2025 Lou will be leaving The Lactation Network to pursue an opportunity within the THS Child Health & Parenting services. This has been a difficult decision, and not one taken lightly. The last 15 years working together under The Lactation Network have been extremely rewarding and we are both very proud of what we have achieved together. We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone in our health care team, our families, our mums for your support both at the Hobart Private Hospital and recently in the community space. Anne-Maree will continue to run The Lactation Network as a full time practice. Services will continue to operate Mon-Fri. Cheers Lou & Anne-Maree

Your body and your baby work together to make the milk your baby needs. Milk supply grows when milk is removed often and effectively. Responding to your baby’s cues, latching well, and spending time skin-to-skin all help keep the cycle going.
