Anna is a level II Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist with over 1000hrs of training. Over the past 7 years Anna has shared the traditions of yoga at studios and retreats and more recently in clinical settings. Anna holds a caring, safe, non-judgmental space and offers classes that are nourishing, authentic and empowering. She aspires to make yoga accessible to the wider community and offers guidance to people recovering from illness and injury. She has experienced first-hand the benefits yoga can have on one’s life, and enjoys seeing the transformation in her student’s. My first yoga class was taught by my friends Grandmother in my hometown on the N.W Coast of
Tasmania. Though I was initially hesitant of yoga, when I looked to my 70 year old teacher who was a beaming light of health and happiness and had a larger range of motion than I did, I knew yoga had to become part of my life. Jean is still an inspiration to my yoga journey today. In 2013 I put my fashion career on hold to undergo a 200hr teacher training in Bali with ‘Shades of Yoga’. During my time in Bali I met a exceptional Novocastrian teacher who invited me to teach at studios and retreats in Newcastle NSW. In 2017 I completed 150hrs in Yoga Therapy Foundations and continued on to the post graduate (650hrs) program to become a registered Yoga Therapist. Studying yoga therapy has enabled me to empower clients who have injury or illness and help them to progress towards improved health and wellbeing through the teachings of yoga. SESSIONS

Open your heart to invite in unconditional love and healing. This fortnight’s practice is focused around heart opening, honouring the Libra love full moon.

Stress/ fear/worry darkens the heart. Fear keeps us from loving and present moment awareness while gratitude brings us to love.

This weekends workshop is booked out. If you missed out, feel free to DM so I can give you details on the next one.

As part of Mental Health Week, The Health Oasis are offering free yoga classes. I have been deep in the trenches of depression and anxiety myself and was on medication for years.

Yoga completely changed my life and transformed my mental health in profound ways that I didn’t know could be possible. Yoga isn’t just a bunch of poses, or breathing techniques, at its core, it is the path of self-discovery. A journey back to the true self, which so many of us have unconsciously lost connection to during the extremely busy, fast paced way of life.

This is not a quick fix, it is a consistent practice that peels back the layers and becomes more powerful the more often we come to the mat.

You have the power to help and heal yourself. Yoga may not be the right fit for everyone. If you haven’t tried it before, what do you have to lose? If you have tried it once and declared you won’t go back, keep in mind there are such a variety of styles and teachers, varying in experience.

I will be teaching these free classes this week:
Mon 6:30pm
Tues 6:30pm
Thurs 6:30pm
Sun 5pm
