That’s why we offer a diverse array of practices including Bikram, Vinyasa, Yin, Gentle Flow & Hiit. Whether you need to slow down and journey within, find your flow, are looking to increase your range of motion, build strength or want to find a deeper sense of connection. We have something for everyone no matter your practice level, our classes cater for beginners to advanced students. EQ offers you the highest quality facilities, qualified teachers as well as a thriving yoga community right in the heart of Hobart's CBD. We have full change room facilities offering showers, hairdryers and lockers. We also have mats, towels and drinks available to rent or purchase if ever need be. Class offerings:
~Bikram yoga is a dynamic form of Hatha yoga. It is a set sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, performed in an environment heated to 40°. It is a detoxifying and healing style of yoga, suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
~ Hot Sixty is our newest addition to the timetable, all the benefits of a traditional Bikram yoga class within a 1 hour. Perfect for anyone to get their Bikram fix faster!
~Vinyasa is all about cultivating connection between the breath and your movement. As you flow through a sequence of Asana you will be guided through your movements with breath and alignment cues. Find balance, strength and space in these classes.
~Yin focuses on stimulating the fascia (connective tissue) as well as the joints and ligaments of the body. A much slower style of yoga focused on calming the nervous system and quieting the mind. The postures are mostly seated and held for longer periods of time. This class also incorporates the use of props such as blankets, blocks and bolsters for support. A recommended must for all.
~Gentle Flow is practised more slowly, gently and with longer posture holds. Our classes offer a wonderful space for beginners as well as advanced practitioners looking for a gentle, yet strong, slower-paced option.
~Online classes are available from our online library... Perfect for those times when you can't make it into the studio.
