Relative Energy Deficiency in Sports (RED-S) is a condition resulting from an imbalance between dietary energy intake and the energy expended during exercise. This not only leads to insufficient energy for optimal sports performance, but also to insufficient energy to maintain optimal health, with a range of body functions affected. Whilst RED-S is seen in all genders, it is more prevalent in females, particularly those in endurance sports.

As Physiotherapists we play a role in preventing, detecting and helping to manage RED-S in our Athletes. For injuries associated with RED-S, it's essential to consult a Physiotherapist who understands the full scope of the condition. At TSP, our commitment to 'Complete Care' ensures that we address every aspect of your health and recovery.
