I got to spend the weekend with a bunch of beautiful pregnant couples and we had a wonderful time talking all things positive birth (& eating hot cross buns 😆🐰). There could be some Easter babies on the way!!

I came across this classic post from depicting mothers in Victorian times hiding behind curtains to try and achieve decent photos of their babies 🤣🤭👻.

Motherhood is a tough gig for sure 🤣.

If I'm to be the perfect mother, I cannot be the perfect wife.
If I am to be the perfect wife, I cannot be the perfect friend.
If I am to be the perfect friend, I cannot be the perfect worker.
If I am to be the perfect worker, I cannot be the perfect me.

If I am a version of me, imperfectly so, that is sustained and fulfilled and nourished and loved,
I can do a good job.
I can be a great friend.
I can be a supportive wife.
I can be a loving mother.

But I cannot be all, and perfectly so.

Some day I will realise that's ok.
